I'll kick this one off... What a feeble kick-off! Barely one revolution of the ball.
Okay, well, I hate to tell you all this, but our nice winning run is about to come to a grinding halt tomorrow. The reason being that I'll be going and I've been a major jinx during the whole of 2015. I appear to have developed a remarkable capacity for plucking out the draws and losses whenever I go. If you want to pay me not to turn up, I'm open to offers.

The one who normally kicks off in a match is usually the one who does just a little touch to a neighbouring player. Think I managed that quite well.... If I remember last season they did the double over us, both ending in a 2-1 defeat and the Maidenhead winning goals both coming in the 84th minute, in the first and last game of the season. Kind of summed up the season as a whole - struggling to deal with weaker opposition and giving the game away near the end. Of course this season is a different story, although after that home match, Maidenhead finished 3 places below us. Which they are at the moment too. Dos has mentioned a few players of theirs, but in addition to that there's Dave Tarpey who seems to always score against us. He can tomorrow too as long as it's only the one and we reply with 5 goals. Only a win will guarantee a play off spot over xmas. Let's do this!

A win tomorrow gives us a respectable position and points total for the first half of the season and certainly shows us up in a real positive light over the past 10/11 games, keeping in mind that over that time we dropped points we shouldn't have (but at a reduced rate than the previous 10 games) and you can see that the squad is still progressing a little towards top gear but that we have the whole of the second half of the season in which to be at our best. Being in the playoff spots over Christmas is a big achievement and from there maybe, just maybe, we can make this a slightly more interesting title race (you can tell I've written my letter to Santa today )

Our recent league form has been impressive, but if we're aiming for a top five finish then we're not yet in a position where we can comfortably afford to lose a game, especially to a team not far below us in the table. Maidenhead score a lot of goals but concede a lot too. We might need to net two or more to bag three points.

I thought it was a excellent game of football today... Maidenhead came & had a real go... Unlike lots of other teams.. But having said that we had enough chances to win .. We hit the woodwork at least twice & their keeper made a couple of unbelievable saves... But a point each was a fair result

Maidenhead had a go in the second half as they only had one shot in the first due to our dominance. We missed a host of chances but our football is fluent and great to watch. I hope a lot more people come to the Basingstoke game (and Concord) as the football we are playing deserved more fans. It's of a good quality and I think the pitch plays its part.
I felt that Dundo was fouled for their second goal and the ref was happy to let as much go as possible.
With the top four all losing I think it's 2 points dropped but Maidenhead are a good side and they showed their ability in the second half. It's a shame we switched off for 5 minutes.

Incredible that only Ebbsfleet and Maidstone have won more than half their games! The play0off spots look to be very open this year.
