The hearing went well and it is hoped that a firm decision will be made either Friday or Monday next A cynic might suggest that they'll postpone their decision until after the Chelmsford game to see if we get the victory that will make a three point deduction pretty irrelevant and then fine the club instead in order to bolster their coffers!

It would be nice if a combination of the (right) FA decision and the right result against Chelmsford on Saturday might potentially enable Sutton to win - and be presented with - the championship trophy in front of their own fans at Gander Green Lane on Saturday. Most important thing though is that having got so close we do now go on to win it - whenever and however. I'm not counting any chickens yet.

Although Chelmsford did great at the weekend, their away form isn't great - they've picked up only 2 win from their last 10 away games (At Weston and Havant), losing 5 in that period, including a 4-1 thumping at Margate.
Forget the FA charge for the time being - it's all about getting the 3 points at home on Saturday. We're close but we need to finish the job off. And this time time and time again have finished the job off in style this season. Let's get on with the job of helping our team get over the line.

I take it even if we win on Saturday we will have to wait till the Oxford game to lift the title if all goes well with this charge?.
I have full belief in this side to finish the job on Saturday. Shown so much maturity, bottle and professionalism in this run.
On the train on Saturday i overheard the Ebbsfleet fans chatting. They can't believe how we've just kept winning. They expected us to fall away in that run of away games a few weeks back.
Edit- Just read through. I hope we get to lift the Title on Saturday. The players and staff deserve it.

If we win Saturday and the charge is not resolved until Monday, then we lift the Trophy in front of of our fans anyway. It's then up to the FA to take it away from us should they decide to dock us 3 points. As it stands, we could win the league twice? ?

The hearing went well and it is hoped that a firm decision will be made either Friday or Monday next Were you in the public gallery Nigel? Did the club ask you to make a public statement on this or perhaps you were on the panel / have friends at The FA? Can you enlighten us further, any detail? Blimey.

What i really don't understand is why is all this such a big secret. Shouldn't all this be in the public domain ? The fans are getting pieces of information from newspapers and it would be nice to hear something official from the club !

If the FA has yet to make a decision, what is there to report?

If the FA has yet to make a decision, what is there to report? Just a statement to say that the club attended a personal hearing on Monday & we await a decision from the FA which is expected on Friday or Monday.I'm sure it will be on the front page of the local paper before we get to here !

And that fact has been verified by? Do we know that to be the case?
Think we should trust the club on this and let them time an announcement as they see fit to.

I'm with Mark on this. The club is always forthcoming when reporting so when there is something to report no doubt they will report it. A little patience doesn't do anyone any harm

My hunch is that we have received legal advice to say nothing, hence the initial statement coming down. We'll hear soon enough. Most important thing is winning Saturday to make it is completely irrelevant and to ensure we don't have to take on the last day pressure of having to find 3 points.

I still think that if nothing is heard from the FA by Saturday then the league HAVE to bring the Trophy to GGL on Saturday for possible presentation (if we win the match). If the FA subsequently take it away from us then we go again at Oxford. Personally I think the FA know this and will want to resolve it by the end of this week (or perhaps I'm being nieve?)
