Jonah was the strangest one, we put him on the transfer list and then he went to Havant for nothing.

Sorry I’ve not worked out the copy and paste part yet, but thanks to mark f for the information on the 3 players, So we could have sold butler and got money for him and re signed Ross? I see Nicky Bailey has played 14 times already this season, no bookings!! must be getting slow in the tackle 😀 I think we will see Jonah at a higher level over the next few years. But yes we now have to look upward and forward . Anyone have any thoughts on my 3-5-2 formation With no right back at the moment, 3 center backs Barden and Davis holding milsom was made for the wide left in the 5 and Bolarinwa the right of the 5 beautyman central Omar and Aaron up front Maybe I play to much football manager!!! Yes.I agree to some extent. Barden should sit in front of the back 3/4. We really haven't got room for Kenny, Harry and Craig although I don't want to lose any of them. Looking back a year to the same weekend the bottom four looked like this 21. Maidenhead (19th) 22. Dagenham and Redbridge (18th) 23. Braintree (22nd) 24. Dover (14th) Dover were 6 points from safety at that point, and yet finished 16 points clear of the drop. Dagenham finished 12 points clear and Maidenhead 10 points clear. Aldershot who finished in the bottom four (and didn't go down because of Gateshead) were in 13th, 7 points clear of the drop zone. While I'm not saying we shouldn't be concerned, only a fool would say we are destined for relegation at the start of November. But look at the managers of those three clubs, all vastly more experienced and able to make their sides hard to beat or change things around. Maidenhead were in freefall, scored / conceded 0-17 in the three games prior to us, Devonshire used his contacts to get a decent centre half in, ratcheted down their back line and they nicked a 1-0! Can Gray do that? Im extremely sceptical that he can, I hope I'm wrong! Why did people have to bring up Ayunga again? I'd just started to forget that we shipped out the one young striker I've seen here for many a year with the potential to have an all round game, one who will undoubtedly grace the football league in years to come. For nowt as well. Utter foolishness. Anyone with half an eye for talent could see he was full of it and just needed time

Dover progressed when they sacked Kinnear and got in Hessenthaler. Maidenhead as you said. Daggers sorted their ownership worries out. There's usually a reason for an upturn in form.

I really think a couple of new faces, loan or otherwise, might do it. A right back and a striker, right back crosses, bounces off strikers knee and in, we win 1-0 hey presto change of fortune! If only it was that simple, but Cmon Matt get out that black book which I'm starting to think is slimmer than a 2019 telephone directory!

I understand the club has loan signings available from a premiership club for free, but has not exercised that option to date?

They were also mainstays of the side before the slump. Infact Kenny missed the last 7 games of the season due to injury. Eastmond has played more often than not this season (and at the tail end of last season) as a defender. Only Harry has been more present in midfield, and to be honest, he's looked like one of the brighter sparks in this side. I wonder how many games have we played with all 3 of those in midfield at the same time (please anyone feel welcome to jump in and give that fact)? I can't tell you if they were all in midfield, but they played together last season in most games from 22 Dec Halifax until Barnet 9th Feb which was the last U's victory in which all 3 played: also the last win in which Beautyman and Davis played together. Sutton's last win with Beautyman and Eastmond playing was 6 April at Borehamwood and the same venue on 17th Aug saw U's last win with Eastmond and Davis together.

OK then. Maybe we should put things in perspective. We've punched above our weight and had a good few seasons recently. However a friend of mine who supports Wrexham is really, really depressed. From his point of view he always supported a Football League club who fell out of the league. Only temporary of course he would have thought but now they too are in danger of relegation.
