So the performance wasn’t poor on Saturday and yes we didn’t really get the run of the green at key moments. The effort levels were good etc etc. However I see this in simple terms. It is no accident that we are in the position we are in the league, it is not pure misfortune that we don’t win enough games or score enough goals. Football, even at this level, is a results business and our results aren’t good enough. So far as I can see, neither the Board, the Manager or the coaching staff seem to have done anything at all to change that and, as the saying goes if you do what you always did you will get what you always got. To claim we can’t afford to change management means we are simply accepting failure- I suspect very few people actually know what the Manager’s contract says about severance and I trust our Board will have built in necessary protection for the Club into Matt’s employment contract. Time for a change... I don't agree that the management have done nothing. Belatedly they have addressed the problem at the back - IMO this is where all rebuilding needs to start. We have a taller, and on recent form better, keeper. The return of Lewis has strengthened the back four. The under-performing Tom has lost his place as a winger to the more threatening David. Elsewhere there are problems not addressed. We do not have a left winger who can go round the full-back to the outside. It is far too easy to halt a winger who always steps inside. Omar is the best of our forwards to play as a lone front-man, but he always lacks support close enough to him, from any of his strike partner, the attacking midfield or his wingers. It is not a criticism of Kenny to say he is not the midfield general we need, because I think his best performances have come playing alongside a midfield general with Kenny feeding through balls to a pair of potent strikers. We do not have those. The no-progress areas which frustrate everybody are: no sign of practice of effective routines at free kicks and corners; substitutions being left too late; reversion to hoof-ball particularly when we are trailing in the second half; and as you say Big Al - persevering with unsuccessful tactics or formations.

I'm not sure about Tom "underperforming". The majority of the season he's either been injured or been played out of position, invariably as a full back.

By change of structure I assume you mean someone coming in and taking over? The last time I am aware anyone showed real interest was another PD. He ended up down the road and that went well, didn't it? No I don't mean change of ownership, I think there is a lot of wiggle room without changing ownership. Lots of things have moved on since 2008, but the way our club works hasn't changed in a very long time. I am not going to go into detail on here, but I believe that some modernization within the club structure could really help. There is a whole list of things, such as getting more young supporters involved with input to decision making. Better use of digital media, the advertising world is changing etc. That expertise tends to be with the younger people, and I know that the older you are the more its a struggle to understand and adapt to these things.

Tom Bs a strange one, looked like a man possessed during the first month of the season, in particular coming on and completely changing the course of the game at home to Barnet. Then came the horror show out of position against daggers. Personally speaking he wouldve been one of the first out of the door after underperforming all last season, but I do feel for him after being so impressed by his performances in Aug that he's now very much sidelined. However, Ajiboye is one of the most exciting players I've seen at the club in recent years and Tom's clearly no right back so id personally let him go to bring in a striker or right back.

OS, You know we are always happy to listen to any ideas to help increase attendances and/or income. Come and see me on Saturday, around 2.30 in the main office, to put forward your ideas with rough costs and benefits.

Come and see me on Saturday, around 2.30 in the main office, to put forward your ideas with rough costs and benefits. You make it sound like I have just come up with a new idea ? It reminds me of the scene from Mike Basset England Manager, when they find Don Revie's letter under the mat
