Can someone please clarify the situation on our goalkeepers?
Why are there three?
Who is to become first / second choice in the longer term?

That's a question for the Manager to answer.

We have 4 keepers. Seb Brown I believe is still registered as a player.

Reposting my comment from the Woking thread.... I assume that's it for the Jamie Butler experiment and dudzinski is our 2nd keeper? Shame as Butler is clearly a much liked member of the squad but his lack of height was ruthlessly exposed this season. Think he will be a very good keeper in the league below but I fear the national has become too physical a league for keepers of shorter stature....
Cant see Gray going back to Butler as first choice but I could be wrong

I've not seen this confirmed, but I've heard that Jamie B has been struggling with a niggling injury for most of this season (even when he was playing) and that the loan signing of Nik Tzanev was initially to allow JB time to recover properly. That said, I do agree that NT has established himself as first-choice keeper. Now that the loan has been extended it's hard to see Matt dropping him.
Maybe we'll see Jamie between the sticks at Leatherhead in the SSC.

What is the Jamie Butler experiment? We are putting him in a grow bag for 6 months ! haha yeah that's it, top secret! By experiment I mean playing with the shortest goalkeeper in the division, one who has other excellent attributes to make up for height but has perhaps been 'found out' at this level unfortunately

So you think having a player who has made 111 appearances for the club and a couple of years ago was voted Players’ Player of the Year is an experiment. Well done. 😟

An experiment can have positive results, negative results or inconclusive results, and an experiment doesnt always have a set time frame, although I believe this one has run its course. Do the players and management pay you to protect them or are you a pompous arse for free?

No doubt Mr D can answer for himself but while he maybe many things, a pompous arse ain't one of 'em.
Experiment is,imo, highly detrimental to Jamie B's efforts while at Sutton. If the use of the word in this context was an attempt at humour it fell somewhat short and if not humour then can only be considered an insult.

I do it for free and will continue to do so when people make disrespectful comments about players who have served the club well.

It's no wonder this forum has declined significantly in interaction when any opinions thst don't match the party line are instantly jumped on for the slightest dissent.
You'll eventually get what you want, which is a big old echo chamber, then tonyd and others can retire their Sherrifs badges and talk freely about how wonderful every single player has been, and how the managements decisions are and always have been perfect, while slapping each other on the back for their insightful comments.
Until then I shall continue to offer my unabridged opinions on players, tactics etc and I care not one iota how tonyd and other self appointed cronies feel about them.
