Just my thoughts on the subject of the season abandoned theme . I agree that it is highly unlikely we will see footballs being kicked meaningfully come the beginning of April and that should the season be abandoned it would cause widespread upset , and not just in Liverpool , possibly leading to legal actions being pursued . So how about this season is completed at a point in time when suitable , even if we have to wait until late summer to do so . If that were the case then the following season could be shortened to ensure that it finished by May 2021 . This might involve teams only playing each other once . I know that this would cause problems with players contracts , not to mention the unfairness of only playing a team once , be it at home or away , but this are unusual times and blue sky thinking is required . How I hate that phrase but I just had too ! GGL you'll be thinking outside the box and actively listening to stakeholders next!

Really don't know regards the TV. People will be cancelling Sky and BT in their droves, why wouldn't they without anything to watch? I don't bother with the movie package but I'll probably swap sports for movies. Jeez, this is going to be bleak. I do kind of rely on live football (anywhere, I love ground hopping) during the season to keep the old Black Dog at bay. I realise I'm not alone in that. Really wish there was a hibernation pill to take for a 3/4 month period I feel your pain medwaysider . One answer would have been to go down the pub to drown your sorrows but even that is not recommended now !

Another option would be to split the NL to North & South for one season with the Champions of each playing off for the FL league place and the losers getting a second chance in the play off final with 2nd place teams going into a play off semi and then the winners to the final. Will be half the games but you play each other home and away and less travel.

I like this option , makes more sense to keep matches more local for one season and levels out the playing field with regards to home and away fixtures . If only there was common sense at the FA !

Are there any voluntary jobs we'd normally get done in the close season that would make sense to get done now while we can, particularly since we don't know how much of a gap we'll have before next season? Obviously not everyone can get out and about but it's just a thought.

Hi, that's not a bad idea I will bring it up tonight under AOB at an emergency board meeting.
Just to keep everyone in the loop, the board will be meeting (virtually of course, although that might prove challenging for some !) on a frequent basis to ensure we stay up to date with all developments and plan and make arrangements to emerge in as good a position as possible.

I honestly don't see how this season can be restarted and completed. The early April date seems to have been rather plucked out of the air. The most optimistic, plausible estimates put the virus peak infection time at mid May. And that's just the peak.
Should the NL decide on a restart In June, for example, what happens if a number of clubs refuse to accept that it's safe to do so? They may well and they may be right to do so.
One could say, restart in summer but play behind closed doors. But that still puts the players themselves at the same level of risk that they've been assessed as being at, now (with spin off contatct with their family, friends, etc). Although, as I've observed before, that is no higher a risk than most of us are experiencing simply by continuing to go to work.
Frankly I think we'll be fortunate if we see next season start on time. With the proviso that a second round of a less virulent form of the virus will quite possibly emerge in the winter.

I'm thinking that if League two clubs are in the same situation then it may bring about a North South League 2 combining with the National League because as we know travelling costs are costly.

Kings Lynn next on the cash appeal, £100k to find (some of which will be from current Chairman).
