I think the club having an emergency board meeting tonight will provide some direction for us. I think everyone wants to help, but a lead from the club has to be the starting point, so action is coordinated. As spongebob would say 'I'm Ready'.
Not sure if the government announcement today of 25k grants to leisure and hospitality businesses apply to clubs, but with things such as the Boom Boom club and bar takings, I am guessing that it will? Still a drop in the ocean compared to how much would be needed?

I see the Surrey county cups have been cancelled for this season, so it’s lucky we lost at Levred!

Bromley are doing some great stuff at the moment. They're donating their stocks of food to the local food bank, they're making phone calls to their elderly and vulnerable season ticket holders to check they're ok and doing food delivery runs. This is a great example I hope we can follow. I'd be more than happy to help with that sort of thing if our club needs a few extra pairs of hands.

Hi Fortunately we do not carry a stock of food as we have 3rd-party caterers. If people would like to help with wider community issues please let me know (dave.farebrother@suttonunited.net) and we will explore what we can put in place.

True. But if I were a betting man I know where my tenner would be going.

We've had a couple of emails from people volunteering to help out community-wise if they can, if there is anybody else just email me.
