That was great. Ahmed was a superb host getting over his nerves and teething problems to preside over a great first stab. It felt like we were part of a community. Keep up the good work guys, really appreciated it!

It didn't go quite according to plan this evening, but you have to start somewhere. Some new equipment is on order so phone calls can be heard. A higher spec PC will be used to stream video so its smooth, and content will grow as it goes along.
Credit to Ahmed for going live for the 1st time tonight, I hope those that watched enjoyed it.

While I think this is a great idea I couldn't watch. I kept going back both on tv and my phone but eventually gave up as I couldn't hear what Matt was saying. Can I politely suggest that you do a dress rehearsal before going live.

Great initiative, and I stuck with it almost to the end (an hour and ten minutes), but I found it a frustrating experience. Most of the content I'd seen or heard before (though I appreciate that won't apply to everyone). The quiz questions from Matt were the best bits.
One thing I noticed from the live chat was that participants weren't hearing content simultaneously; some were posting answers before I'd heard the question, while I think I was ahead of some others.
Well done whoever muted the Bromley troll!

Many of the teething problems are quite easily sorted out and will be, the shows and content will get better. No point in having dress rehearsals, might as well all learn together. As they say many hands make light work.
With the announcements due later and imminent lock down for a unknown time, we have to make this work as its pretty much the only game in town along with social media.

Do you think Gary Lineker wings it on a Saturday night or Ant & Dec just do everything off the cuff. Do you do the Best Man's speech at a wedding off the cuff? Perfect Preparation Prevents a Piss Poor Performance. You had a target audience with plenty of people sharing the Tweets but couldn't be bothered to check whether it would work first. I applaud the idea but please make sure these things work otherwise you'll lose your audience very quickly.

If you feel the quality is not up to your own personal expectations then feel free not to watch.
The sufctv team obviously are split apart because of lock down. so it makes working as a unit very difficult from a distance. The volunteers are having to learn new things on their own with out hands on physical teaching. Plus with most of the kit being locked down at GGL they are having to use what ever they have. And considering all electronics shops are now closed by gov ruling. And amazon and ebay orders won't get through till mid to late April. I think you will agree. They are doing the damn best with the cards they have been dealt.
Please do back the channel. Back the volunteers at sufctv. Back your club.

Of course I'll back the club and the channel however I did give up watching as it was excruciating but a dummy run would have been useful. Bearing in mind that these guys are students I believe learning bad habits isn't good. A bit of prep would have been good. They do a great job so just please take this as constructive criticism.

Thanks JR . no one wants to put out a bad video. The guys now know they need post it notes to remind them.of x y or z when they are live. Tests have been carried every night since. Kit and better faster laptops are being begged and borrowed from wherever possible. If you get a chance. Check out James Board's test last night. It went really well. And Toms off air remote interview that went live this morning. Last Sunday may of been a week too early. But everyone is keen to keep that flag flying and bring new content as best as possible.

JR. Hope you’re well. I don’t usually get involved in these kind of back and forths because they don’t do anyone any good. However, your comments were below the belt. The chaps SuttonUnitedFCtv are all volunteers and some are young chaps trying to find their feet in a media world that can be both ruthless and unrewarding (financially). A test was probably the right way to go but to blast them for trying, come on. ‘He who never fails has never lived’. (Gary Lineker was rigorously trained by the BBC machine for 5/6 years before he even got a look in @motd. If you manage to listen back to his debut on BBC FIVE LIVE in 1995/96 - you might reconsider your message).

I just feel it would have been wise to check that everything works before going live. Ok, so perhaps using the pros was a bad example but you still practice speeches/presentations etc. As I say it was meant to be constructive criticism as I fully support SUFCTV and think they're doing an excellent job.
