Dave, thanks again for all of your heroic efforts in getting the place open for a safe return. I'm fully aware from my own workplace what the million layers of complications are so a million hats off to you and the covid team. Thank you.

For those wondering, voucher codes for Chesterfield should be going out - all things being well (which they weren't this time a week ago, so fingers crossed) - this evening after the game. Priority period will run until 7pm on Monday.
Future home games, assuming we stick to the same process, will allow much more time to acquire tickets - we weren't given the confirmed go-ahead to open today until late on Wednesday (very late for me as I'm currently 4 hours ahead), so while we had an idea of how we were going to operate, we still didn't have the specifics until then, hence the emails not going out until Thursday.

Also a big thank you to the IT dept. for getting all the ticketing and codes all sent out.

As there is no home game for a while. Will the tickets for Dec 28th be sold earlier than the last 2 games ?? Or will the club wait for the dreaded Tier Review on Dec 16th before doing anything

Yes, we plan to make them available earlier; yes, we will wait until after 16th

The Tiers will be reviewed on 23rd December, so there is a chance (albeit slim) that crowds might be allowed for 28th December but with the holidays in-between it might make the planning difficult anyway. We will gather as much information as we can and confirm in due course.

It’s inconceivable that London will move back on 23/12 with the Xmas relaxations hitting.

That is it now, once in Tier 3 there isn't really a way out, I understand the government is due to announce Feb 3rd Sunset to be extended to April.
I honestly think the relaxation of restrictions UK wide has been disastrous, and has now pretty much blown the rest of the football season for fans, pub goers / theater goers etc (we may get a couple in in April / May).
No I am not saying it was football fans, it is people that spread the virus and it is people keeping us stuck in this situation.
2 matches, tiny crowds, probably cost the clubs more than they made, ARGHHH!

It was made pretty clear that the big increase in rates in London were mostly in the 11 to 18 age group. There was an obvious solution to this which wasn't taken.
How this pans out in the next week we just don't know yet, but on the basis of that issue, with schools starting to shut (and indeed a couple of local high school deciding due to covid rates that they have pretty much shut already) one would hope that has some sort of an impact. We also know that hospitals at the moment are not near capacity.
It's also been clearly shown that it's the North and East of London that were showing the highest rates of increase (indeed some of west London were showing a decrease). It may well be that come 23rd Dec London may not be taken as a whole, as demonstrated by the change in circumstances of Essex and Hertfordshire.
We just don't know.

Where do you get the info that the Feb 3rd 'sunset' review will be extended until April? Considering that the 'sunset' date was offered by the Prime Minister to his own backbenchers to prevent a voting rebellion, that would a very bold unilateral move. I mean, maybe it is being considered but, if so, do you have a link? I could post something here suggesting that the 5 days of Xmas restriction lifting will be suspended. Which I think may possibly happen, although is unlikely to. But, you know, some evidence...?

We just don't know. The numbers which are updated daily up to Monday look bad across most of London now /photo/1
