Although we don't play until tomorrow teatime there are some games today in the National League i'm sure most of us will be keeping an eye on.
Bromley v Hartlepool
Chesterfield v Torquay
Stockport v Wealdstone
I think the only one you would bet your house on is a Stockport win against Wealdstone but the other two are very difficult to call because Bromley & Chesterfield are more than capable of winning.
Its going to be a very interesting afternoon. I expect there could be live commentary on Radio Devon for the Chesterfield game.

Torquay W7 D1 L0
Hartlepool W6 D2 L0
Stockport W6 D2 L0
I'd be okay with Bromley and Wealdstone donating 3 points as long as Chesterfield can do the business.

Torquay and Hartlepool look to have tough games on the road today with their opponents Chesterfield and Bromley respectively either in the play-offs or just outside the top 7 - I think we're all hoping for dropped points today. Sadly I can't see any favours from Wealdstone up at Stockport. We can only hope.

With the resources these teams have (Stockport and Madden spring immediately to mind) it really is a stupendous achievement that, with 5/6 games to go, Sutton remain not only in the mix but with as good or better a chance of winning the league. What a job the management, squad and club have done. As for today's games, I'm not expecting any losses but hold out hope that Torquay and Hartlepool are frustrated. Bromley, in particular, need a result to keep pace. |
