I do think that you should move on and let this grip finish, you are not the only one to have had a caustic remark from Andyk so what you do is swear at him under your breath and carrying on living. There are many others out there who might feel the same as you but they move on. It’s only a forum after all not the House of Parliament.

For what it's worth, I do think that we sometimes tend to shut down discussion, or an individual opinion, if it doesn't sit well with the bulk of the forum users. And I say that as someone who generally stands in agreement with Andy K. Also as someone who, noticably, has little time for one particualr poster as I regard them as, basically, a time wasting troll.
Still, we all become charactures of ourselves on social media, it's in many respects a very decent forum and we do have to take our lumps from each other and move on.
But, let's try to leave discussion open. Even if we think what someone has posted 'doesn't need saying'. It would be a good and a unifying thing, imo.

To Baboonfish. To be fair to Andy K., he does publish his own health warning. Look at his Tag: you can see he is going to "Ram his opinion down your throat in a supercilious and condescending manner." You can't say you weren't warned. Ah the old 'creepy uncle' defence. Or otherwise known as the 'you have been warned' defence. Sorry, it doesn't wash in this day and age. I don't care if it comes with a pre warning or not, I'm bored of seeing people bullied off this forum because their opinions don't tally with Andy and his cronies. It's a duller place for it. It's a shame when posters leave because they feel they are being bullied/told where they are going wrong/corrected/lectured etc.Or perhaps they get fed up with all the "witty" word play and puns from the usual suspects ! I would also question (again) the thinking behind having the most prolific poster in the forum acting as a moderator.Should moderators be getting into arguments on a regular basis,if at all ? Should moderators be calling people names ? I don't think so.

The good thing about having prolific posters as moderators is that they can quickly spot and remove those spammers who insist on signing up and then providing us with stupid links to God knows what.

Agreed but I do remember one link that sounded quite interesting where a Chinese man had found God who persuaded him to announce chimpanzees as the protectors of this world which in turn would be ruled by cats. I didn't click it but Sheba must have been foaming at the mouth. Unless I dreamt it happened.....
