Not much more to say than "lets get this done" !
Be nice to put pressure on Torquay before their tv game later at home to Bromley

Weymouth are actually better away from home, and have won their last 2 away games. Maidenhead and Woking (Woking did play 7 academy players though).
But I agree with Del. Let's just get this done. Even for those who already feel we've lost the title, it's important for us to go into a potential play off with momentum rather than just limp in.

How people can think that the title is lost with being four points behind, a game in hand and five games left to go is beyond me.

As far as I’m aware there was only one person that asserted that we’d blown the title (excluding a wind-up merchant from Torquay!). I’m sure 3 points tomorrow will improve both our prospects for top spot and everybody’s mood. Keep the faith.

This is our game in hand over Stockport (who don't play until Tuesday). We really need to make the most of it. A win would take us four points clear of them. That would be a useful cushion with just four games each left.
Torquay of course don't kick off against Bromley until 5.20. So a Sutton win would take us, temporarily at least, to just a point behind them. If they then fail to win in front of the TV cameras the advantage would swing back to us (as we'd have regained our game in hand).

There will be twists and turns before the trophy is lifted, win our matches and Torquay have to beat both Bromley and Stockport. Would you fancy 6pts from Weymouth / Woking or 6pts from Bromley / Stockport because that is the tasks we and Torquay face - Go on before the game today which job do you fancy and would you would rather be Sutton or Torquay?

That's a tricky one. Yes Sutton have the game in hand and two easier opponents on paper but Torquay have the points. Plus there is a stark contrast in form. A win on Saturday will help obviously. Torquay may or may not know the result. If I was their manager I would rather my players not knowing the outcome and just go out and play as if Sutton had won. Or maybe just tell a little white lie. But then I'm not a football manager.

Probably a Mixlr job for me today as I've a few chores to run before heading back to Blighty tomorrow. Crossing my fingers for the right result and some positive news re the 22nd...

Our last league hat-trick was on 14 November 2020, when Isaac Olaofe put three past King's Lynn in our 5-1 home win against them.

Ah yes, I had Olaofe in mind but couldn't place it. Was on a long flight and missed the game. A similar result today would be most welcome given we are level on GD with Torquay but behind on goals scored. Stockport's 7 goal advantage is perhaps a bit too much to hope to overcome.
