Can anyone tell me the basis upon which the EFL object to our type of pitch, despite it being acceptable elsewhere in the UK and Europe?

It is the clubs that object not the EFL itself.

I hear there is a possibility that we are going to sell it.

Now that we’re in the Football League, it might be easier to work the system from the inside (us and Harrogate) to get some prehistoric attitudes changed.

possibly yes but if that influence could be used (as a member of the EFL), it would come too late as the 3G would already have been taken up and the money spent on the grass pitch

I hear there is a possibility that we are going to sell it. I heard it’s a difficult job removing it, so cannot be sold.

As I understand it from a conversation yesterday, I asked the same question and was told at Gander Green Lane. Work starts at the ground today with a new pitch ready for use at the start of the season. They were pleased that our last game is away as it gives the club an extra week to get to grips with all the work in.

Bruce stated in his interview yesterday that if all goes to plan with new pitch installation, we can start the season at home and the grass pitch will be ready. Clearly there were also (reserve) plans in place if that we had to go through the play offs when presumably the pitch would not have been bedded-in in time.

Would it be possible to sell it off by the square foot individually to supporters? I'd be more than happy to purchase a square foot or two of the pitch that propelled us to league glory, and I suspect that others would be too...

Is there any chance of photos or video of the ground work, would be good to see what’s happening. Also too keep the fans in formed.

As Bruce said, it will be GGL. Not the Den. We hope to set up time-lapse video of the works.
