I don't think every club has to be paired with someone, it's just done if their fixtures might affect each other. Pairing just for the sake of it sounds like unnecessary work, but I'd agree it would make sense to pair us with Wimbledon.

In the National League we'd got used to relatively local fixtures being scheduled for weekday evenings (as well as Bank Holidays) to minimise travelling at inconvenient times. I understand that the EFL don't necessarily take the same approach, as many clubs prefer to play local fixtures on Saturdays when they're more likely to attract big crowds. So expect a lot of long-distance travel midweek. To an extent that's going to happen anyway because there are so few clubs from the south-east in League Two.
