I thought that as there was so little activity over the weekend that the seed had been sewn but more preparation today. There seems to be little urgency to get the job finished. Surely the seeding should have been done by now? Well, that leaves us in a quandary. Should we worry about your concerns, or trust the people who have been working their bits off managing the work? 8pm and still working. No need to be concerned.

As someone totally ignorant of the whole process I’d be astonished if the pitch is football ready for the scheduled start. Oldham would seem more plausible. But I know nowt and am sure someone will be along to tell me I’m an idiot (which I am)!

I'm in the same position as you Gareth! I was always under the impression that when a new pitch is laid topsoil and turf went down.
And Bob will be your Mother's brother.

It's not exactly a traditional grass pitch though is it - I'm sure we've been told the process to lay this sort of hybrid pitch is different from one of those. If there were serious doubts the club would know because the communication with the contractors has been pretty good, and they wouldn't keep telling us it was going fine. Yes, the weather is a bit of a worry but I do think a lot of us are letting it bother us a lot more than we need to! Actual human beings visible on the live stream right now - very exciting

I just watched a crane drive past the main stand! Is that wrong to get excited I looks like one of the pylons for the floodlights is going up.

Looks a good two metres higher than the old one. I remember AB saying they will have more light and less 'scatter'.

Hopefully someone at the club will 'tweak' the camera up a little bit so we can see the lights when they are installed.
