Sorry Dave, that's not quite right, it's actually : - Rotherham United v Exeter City or Cambridge United Exeter have already been knocked out by Portsmouth haven’t they? That's what I thought.

The perceived pecking order is thus: Wigan Athletic - top of EFL 1 Rotherham United - 3rd in EFL 1 Cambridge United - 12th in EFL 1 Charlton Athletic - 14th in EFL 1 Sutton United - 3rd in EFL 2 Harrogate Town - 11th in EFL 2 Hartlepool United - 16th in EFL 2 Arsenal U21 - who knows? Slot 'em in where you think.

So that leaves Wigan, Rotherham, Sutton, and Hartlepool. Does anyone know what sort of side Wigan put out tonight? They've played less games than anyone in EFL 2 this season and might not want this...

Just looked at Wigan's Twitter and the 11 that finished the match tonight had an average age of under 21 with many of the players being drawn from their academy side. Should we be hoping to draw them for the semi's???

Should we be hoping to draw them for the semi's??? Indeed Wigan had a lot of games postponed and have 4 games played less than promotion rivals Sunderland, so match congestion might force them to use many reserves in the EFL Trophy semifinal. Also the fact underlined recently by Sunderland that getting to EFL Trophy undermines your promotion fight may play a role. This is valid also for us, while winning against Harrogate we just lost our third spot to Newport…

All four home quarter finalists progressed last night. Home draw is key to our chances in the semi final. Even Hartlepool, the weakest team on paper in the semi finals, have a good home record but poor away record. We of course lost at Hartlepool last season but beat them fairly comfortably in the end at home.

Getting ahead of myself probably, but I notice the Final is the 3rd April, and I am not booked to work that day. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Let’s hope we can get the crowd v Harrogate to a figure over 2000. Slightly disappointing to be under 1000 against both Stevenage and Colchester. Let’s really get the fans in for this quarter final. Maybe a slight reduction in price or a family ticket kind of thing as an incentive. Once tickets have been purchased, people will spend money on refreshments in the ground and hopefully from the shop outside the ground. Just a thought….. I think you're being very hopeful. Harrogate will probably bring less than 50 supporters. I'd be surprised if we get more than 1200. I think we were surprised! In my opinion there seemed to be a bigger proportion of concessions last night, so maybe that ticketing policy did work. Shame one of them decided to throw a bottle on the pitch, and yet from what I could see, remained in the ground. As we get bigger, we will have more idiots butt hat shouldn't take away from the achievement of getting this far in a cup competition. Is this our first semi final appearance in a national cup competition since for 22 years?

This is valid also for us, while winning against Harrogate we just lost our third spot to Newport… Although, of course, we would have lost third spot whether we won, drew or lost against Harrogate. Or indeed had no game at all. If the teams below us with games in hand win all their matches we will slip several places anyway. I'd say this cup run for its confidence building benefit, and its income is worth a couple of potential lost positions in the league.

The kid who chucked the bottle was escorted away but I think allowed to return - not sure why or whether that is the right policy especially considering the recent stuff in the PL?
