Shockingly enough, after the way the second half started, we are the team that went closer to getting it with the huge chances of John and Eastmond. Let’s take the positives from this - the solid game from Bouzanis, the promising appearences of Bennet and Boudewijn, the first clean sheet and the first EFL point ever! It doesn't get any better, massive point for Sutton Utd. It will get better, we'll win soon. So happy.

Great result. 3 tough games on the trot, 3 big performances. On the board is better than we might have expected at this stage. Once again the players have shown how resilient they are, a work rate 2nd to none. Congrats to all involved. First point of many 👍

But I know what you meant. 😉

Great performance against a strong Salford side who came very close to scoring on several occasions. To come away with a clean sheet after that says a lot. Massive point, that.

More history made today. Congrats to all at the club.
A pint for every point in the EFL I think. Hopefully my liver will cope!

Pretty sure your liver will cope with between 50-60 pints in the next 9 months or so….

Hard work, but a point was well earned. Ceded possession but were intermittently threatening on the break. Something to build on.

A solid performance all round, a special mention to Ben Goodliffe for an extra special shift today and Dean Bouzanis for getting the clubs first ever clean sheet in the EFL (just as important as Bugiel's first goal last week) when under a little bit of pressure. No mistakes = points in this league

Think we did today what few teams will end up doing at their place. Keeping a clean sheet and coming away with a point.
We could like all the games so far, come away with all the spoils. To me the main issue to address first is our passing. In all 3 games so far it seemed to go awry, and now we have stats to back that up.
Salford. Total passes 579, completed 430 Sutton. Total 300, completed 158 (52%). It is a similar ratio for the FGR (56%) and Cardiff (53%)games. Our opponents got 10-15% better than those stats at very least. Improving that will improve every other stat we will get and will translate into results.
Not wanting to take anything away from a hard earned point who would have demolished a weaker side than us today.
Congratulations on getting our first ever league point and clean sheet!

I'm glad Dean had a decent game, it was needed after Cardiff mistake. On the radio it sounded like we defended well and needed to, but had our fair share of chances too. It was allways about getting the first points on the board and we did it against one of the top oppositions away from home. We got our first point. As long as we can keep it up and the management and players keep doing what they have been doing, I think we should be able to keep above any relegation battles. But we have a long old season ahead.

Was never going to be any different in these games. Let’s see how we go at Scunthorpe. The important thing is our defence and organisation has held up against 2 teams likely to be in the promotion shake up and a top Championship side. None of them created too much from open play and certainly weren’t carving us open.
