In all honesty, yes. That one player could be in a position that Matt feels we need a bit more strength in, and that may not be where Tanto plays. Or Matt could be eying up a player who actually may not be a loan move. Whilst it would be great to have him back, if that "player" isn't him, I really don't think we need to be hugely disappointed if it isn't him. It's not in our control. Milwall may think he needs to go to a L1 club rather than a L2 one for example. We will know by 11pm on Tuesday. |

I think that Tanto is quicker than Wilson and they are complimentary, with Omar as the provider and target , plus Omar takes a lot of the heat from defenders so creates opportunities for the others. Some of our best performances were when those 3 ( Donovan, Omar and Tanto) played up front as a unit with Tanto wide on the left and cutting in a la Hartlepool and I still think Tanto's goal at Notts County was one of the most skillfully proficient finishes by any forward last season in any division, again at speed on the left , I think put through by Omar. Donavan is more instinctive as show by his finish at Scunthorpe - which I don't think is getting the credit it deserves. |

So we know that it is Millwall's intention to allow Tanto to go out on loan in a few days. We also know that Matt is working on bringing a player in before the transfer window closes. Millwall want Tanto to get game time to help with his development - and he has already had this twice with Sutton. Millwall also want Tanto to be properly looked after as he is recovering from an injury - and Sutton have shown twice before that they have done this. Tanto also knows our medical staff and they know him - as well as knowing our manager, Director of Football and our players. Matt stated publicly in May that he wanted to take Tanto on loan again this season - and he is the only player that played for us last season that Matt wanted to keep that isn't currently signed on for this season. Matt has also shown that he is loyal to players that he (and Jason) know and that he likes to sign players that that he has worked with before. Tanto would be an 'X-factor' player at EFL League Two level - not many player playing at that level with his combination of skill, pace and power (all on show when he scored the third goal against Hartlepool). I'm very hopeful that Tanto's return will be announced next week (albeit that I wouldn't be surprised if Millwall had an option to recall him later in the season). Tanto is one of our own - and I really hope that he is coming home.

Will just have to cross our fingers and hope he comes too us, because we could do with a striker with pace. Matt did say he was in talks with a player, so just wait and see.⚽️ |

Gary Rowatt talks about “best fit”. Well, having done so well with us last season, there’s only one logical answer to that. There are no guarantees that he’ll fit in anywhere else, whereas here, he'll be loved by the fans and he’ll get plenty of game time (which he may not in League One). No brainer in my book.

Isaac has a number of names if you look him up on Google or similar.
Tanto appears to be a shortening of one of his names.
