Really sad and disappointed to hear that Coby Rowe had to report some racial abuse to the referee.

Mental. Utterly Mental.
Tough game but the right result. For large parts of that game we were dominant.
What a save from Bouzanis. He got a lot of stick early in the season from some fans which I thought was unjustified. Today showed what a class act he is. Not just for the penalty but in everything he did today.
This just gets better and better.

Not a classic and we had to dig deep at times. Crawley have a certain way of playing which we haven't encountered before in this division and serves them well. If we can come away from places such as this with 3 points and not at our best then that is a very good sign.
Another tough one at home to Swindon on Tuesday night.

I shouldn’t do it, but I look at the opposing fans forums to see what they make of our team. Almost the same every time, and Crawley is no different. We are big. We hoof it. We are dirty. We have the ref in our pocket. We incite the crowd. We can’t play football.
Guess they don’t like upstarts from the National League getting above their station.

Coby still looked upset at the end. I hope he felt the love from our people.

Bit if an ugly win today but bodes well. Thought we took 20 minutes to get going but after that were ok defensively and pretty solid. Not sure the attack particularly clicked today and the wide players were largely nullified. We did get stronger and gaps started appearing in the Crawley back line as the game went on so wasn’t surprised we nicked a goal. The penalty save was clearly the key moment as getting ahead at that stage would have been hard to claw back.

Coby still looked upset at the end. I hope he felt the love from our people. Karma (/ˈkɑːrmə/; Sanskrit: कर्म, IPA: [ˈkɐɽmɐ] (About this soundlisten); Pali: kamma) means action, work, or deed.[1] The term also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect, often descriptively called the principle of karma, wherein intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect):[2] good intent and good deeds contribute to good karma and happier rebirths, while bad intent and bad deeds contribute to bad karma and bad rebirths.[3][4] Only one way to sort racism at football, and that is stick the ball in the net. Well done Coby for staying composed and conducting yourself with dignity mate....

Great result - and I'm delighted that Dean had such a good game after a difficult start to the season. Without wanting to cast a shadow on things on a day when we've climbed to 5th in the table and become the first team to win at Crawley this season - I am concerned about the yellow cards we are picking up. By my reckoning we now have three players who are 2 yellow cards away from a suspension - Rob Milsom, Craig Eastmond and Dean Bouzanis - and three others who are 3 yellow cards away from a suspension - Omar, Louis and Enzio. I think that it is accepted that if you play with the kind of ferocity in midfield that Craig does, then a possible suspension is always an occupational hazard. However, it seems to me that many of our bookings this season are the result of our players talking their way into the referee's book rather than for the ferocity of their challenges. A goalkeeper is always at risk of picking up a red card if he mistimes a challenge and concedes a penalty - but goalkeepers shouldn't pick up 3 yellow cards in consecutive games as Dean has done. I expect to receive some stick for this post on a day when Dean has helped win us the game with a number of good saves including a penalty save - but I just want us to continue the great run we are on at the moment - and in order to do that, we need our best players to remain available for selection (other than because of injury or illness). I'm sure that Matt and Jason are reminding players of the need to maintain their discipline. Great to see Tanto score the winner again today for the second time this week. He surely must be the greatest player ever to play for Sutton who isn't actually a Sutton player (in that he is a Millwall player on loan).

This is our first ever Sutton away game (and my son’s first ever game as an away fan full stop - he’s 14). Been in the diary since the fixtures came out. Imagine this is true for a few of us newer fans He’s been looking forward to it all week! Me to of course. Boys flying at the mo and should be a good atmosphere. See yer there! Well that was fun!

Today was about remaining disciplined, it could have gone either way and we just about nicked it. It was not the best of games apart from the last 20 mins. We defended well as a unit against a decent side. Man of the match has to be Deano. After a shaky start to the season he has been fantastic in goal and He was the hero after saving that very soft penalty.
Coby has adapted to this leauge very well and is proving to be competitive in filling that possition, though is it me? or does he need to shake a little weight? Perhaps it is a natural for him but I just get that feeling, though he is certainly doing the buisness!
Bennett is starting to look very solid for us. Smith still doing ghe biz and Harry came on and you have to wonder how he wont be selected next game. And of course Tanto is back and has hit the groundrunning. Our fans were great today and were really proud of them. Happy days enjoy them while we have them 😁
Only issue with Crawley was their limited snacks, no chips? No cheese burgers. Other than that a tidy little ground.

Tight game (as most of them are), but this was a great win achieved without two of our best players (Goodliffe and Eastmond both injured). Crawley had a bit more of the ball, but, up until the penalty, their keeper had been the more tested. The penalty award to them was one of those often described as 'soft', but the kick wasn't particularly well struck and Deano made a good save.
Many of us had thought that Tanto, once fit, could take our performances up a crucial notch. A week ago he unsettled the Port Vale defence when he came on, he scored our first goal at Portsmouth in midweek, and popped up today with a header that won us the match. That was the first league game this season that Crawley had lost at home.
For us that's now six wins in seven league games (eight wins out of nine if we include the Papa Johns Trophy), and we rise to 5th. The pendulum will inevitably swing back at some point, but what a position to be in! The home match v Swindon on Tuesday (5th v 6th) promises to be a cracker.
