Yes we are certainly going through a purple patch, it was 2 years ago we were going through the opposite Matt couldn't buy a win. You get the feeling at the moment a mineshaft will open up under the opposition if they have an open goal. We have two thirds of the points need to avoid relegation, 30 more to go

Have to report that the away attendance given was wrong I for one, rang Crawley yesterday to purchase a seated ticket as a 'visiting away fan', when I arrived, it was right where they said it should be picked up from, but when I looked at the actual ticket itself, it said I should enter the ground via turnstiles 11-12........that's the entrance for Home fans........I wonder how many other people were "mis-sold" wrong tickets ? Obviously, I made my way to the correct turnstiles, and luckily, my ticket scanned ok, and I was let in.

Odd game. 75 minutes, best refereeing performance I can remember. Let the game flow, took no nonsense, spot on. Then he lost it and gave a literal joke of a pen (just saw it on quest and my God, what did he see?), failed to blow for an obvious foul and started dishing yellow cards like candy.
Shambles of a goal but sweet sweet justice. Their lovely ground is the only thing I am jealous of crawley for. Station looked like something you'd find in a forgotten soviet outpost. Absolute dump and, by the sounds of it, attitudes to match.
Makes me realise I've been going to Sutton games for over 30 years and I've never encountered racism at GGL. Not saying it hasn't happened but I've not encountered it.
I'd hope any true Sutton fan understands to support Sutton means supporting the fight against racism. We've been blessed with an absolute wealth of talented black players over the years and I'd love to see the club acknowledge that in some way. Perhaps we could take an incident like today's and make something positive from it, but it's not for me to say how.

It'd be nice if we did already have two thirds of the points required, but unfortunately it's two fifths at present.

I think the thing about the vast majority of Sutton fans (perhaps even all of them) don't even notice the colour of our players skin. That's quite possibly the ideal outcome for all!

Ah, but it hasn't always been that way. To my internal shame I can remember us shanting "zigger, zigger, zigger, The number nine's a n*GG*r.

I counted close to 200 of our fans sitting in the stand, and there were about three times that number on the terrace. So I reckon the actual away attendance was around 750. Perhaps the announcer transposed the first two digits. 🤔

Perhaps the announcer inadvertently transposed the first two digits. 🤔 Number of issues - I queues up for my ticket paid and went in at 2.55 . Nobody scanned my ticket I was told by the steward / security guy to walk in and the turnstile turned. We are still living in Covid times and yet we were squeezed into half the available space. Suspect that was lack of stewards . This was by far and away Crawley‘s biggest gate - were they caught unawares? And my final moan why why why can’t all tickets home and away be brought on line HOME and AWAY and , a QR ticket put on phone or printed off. The queues are ridiculous, a lot of fans would have missed the. First 10 mins or so at least.

Yes i couldn't understand why a part of the terrace was closed off especially as we were packed in. Can't see that it would have required any extra stewards. Covid is still out there !

A great result yesterday against an average Crawley side who rarely threatened our goal. We weren’t at our best but did enough to win. I have to disagree with one poster on here as I thought the ref was appalling. They must be under some sort of instructions not to book players early on. Problem is this then escalates and they lose control of the game later on. The penalty decision was a joke and time and time again the manhandling of Bennett went unpunished.
As for the facilities, we’ll being penned in like battery hens was not a pleasant experience at all. They could have easily opened the side terrace and indeed there were stewards there. The food on offer was awful, the alleged racist abuse an absolute disgrace, the Crawley response not very good and it didn’t feel sincere to me and then the thugs outside the ground with the Police having to draw batons was also not very pleasant.
I hope I don’t have to go back there soon (probably draw them in the FA Cup now!)

I think in comparison to the facilities on offer to away fans at GGL it was better - certainly better viewing. We equally cram them into a space set aside, though I appreciate we don’t have additional space that could be used for them! Also queued for tickets with a Crawley fan who sought us out afterwards to pass on congratulations. Sorry to hear you ran into trouble afterwards, am sure my perspective would have been entirely different had that happened to us!! Interesting re. away numbers referencing AA’s post. They certainly have been hovering closer to 2,000 crowds so it certainly wouldn’t surprise me if we were under reported.

Sutton United sit in fifth place in this league with a game in hand. The club have done us all proud and surely exceeded everyone's expectations so far this season. We all know that anything can happen from here but until it does become even a remote possibility,i wish people would shut up about what is needed to avoid relegation. Sutton are bottom of the League Two table, having taken two points from their first four games. BBC website 31/8/21. How things change.

If you were behind the goal nets or someone that’s 6 foot tall you couldn’t see anything. It was almost as bad as Kingsmeadow in my opinion. Also, there’s a pandemic going on but Crawley don’t seem to care much about that. If there was no spare space I could understand but there was loads. My least enjoyable experience at a game for many a year.

Forest Green away was surely worse than Crawley.
What we may be learning is that the treatment of away fans in League Two varies greatly from one club to another. Exeter was perhaps the best experience so far.
