According to Flashscore.uk the ref on Saturday is R MADLEY. What do we know of him.

This is a match between the clubs second and third in the form table, both ourselves and Rovers having won four of our last six league games.
Unlike us, the Gas have made some transfer window signings, notably forward Ryan Loft from Scunthorpe and midfielders Joe Nolan and Elliot Anderson from Ipswich and Newcastle respectively (the latter a promising young player on loan).
I understand that the away allocation has (unsurprisingly) sold out, and a big crowd is expected. It's set up to be a cracking game.

A bit of a leap into the unknown when a team makes new signings. They were a reasonable outfit in the CUP on their own ground and will be difficult to beat. We have been very good at home recently and hopefully we can keep our form going especially with 3 home games coming up. Going to be a decent size crowd by the sound of it.

I vaguely remember us rather randomly playing Rovers in a pre-season friendly at GGL in the early 00’s - the game finished 2-2 but we led 2-0.

It's 2nd v 3rd in the form table tomorrow, with us being 2nd. A lot of the reason Rovers are up there is due to their home form, and as we've already seen this season, and I expect we will in a couple of weeks time too, their ground is actually quite intimidating compared to some of the larger or more open grounds we have seen.
Their away form is ok, with 1 defeat in 6, but 2 draws in that. If you go back further to their last 10 away games, it's 3 wins out of 10 on the road, all by a single goal margin, and all against average to weak sides (Walsall, Harrogate and Scunthorpe). The only sides they have played in a current play off spot and up in that 10 were Swindon (draw) and FGR (defeat), and they've only won 3 away from home all season (out of 12). Away draws seem to be more their thing.
It's been 59 days since we lost a game. Lets see how long we can keep that run going.

A bit frustrating that one, paid for not getting the second goal but could have one it right at the end. Probably a draw was a fair result against a form team and keeps our unbeaten run going. So on too Tuesday.⚽️⚽️

Very frustrating game not helped by some of the most worse refereeing I have seen. The amount of blatant free kicks not given to our team I lost count, but if you fall down you get a free kick as they did.see the number of cards given out.4 to us and 1 to Bristol. It was a shame Omar hit the post in the last minute as it would have sealed a game we should have won by the amount of better play.and missed chances. A point overall I suppose is a fair result. Onwards to Tuesday and another hard game. Hopefully 3 point of course.

A point was a fair result. They had spells of dominance, plus hit the bar twice. Their penalty was self-inflicted - we dithered in defence, the ball ran through and Dean challenged for the ball way-out wide when their striker was moving away from the goal - a rash and needless challenge. I was in a perfect position to see the incident and any suggestion that it wasn’t a penalty is misguided imho.
What is positive is that the point moves us up to third, and to be slightly disappointed not to have put Bristol Rovers to bed with our late chances shows us how far we have come as a club.

How many cards has Deano got. Is he near to a suspension?
