Another long away trip for the team and supporters. Let's hope that some of our squad have recovered well enough to compete.
Hartlepool have always been strong on their own ground and proved that by beating Tranmere on Tuesday night. Good luck to the team and those travelling up there. Did the journey a couple of seasons ago so will give this one a miss with several long trips to go to in March.

Lot of snow up in the north east this morning. Bearing in mind our current lack of fit players I won't be too disappointed if this gets postponed. Just hope a decision is made today to stop the team and/or supporters from travelling.

I had to abort my train journey to Hartlepool today as services out of Kings Cross were suspended (and journey times were doubling for any trains that were running). I'll try again tomorrow morning when the weather is forecast to be much calmer. The risk is knock-on delays and obstructions caused by today's storm preventing players and others getting to Hartlepool in time, and if the game is postponed it would probably be for that reason.

Hartlepool have not lost in the league at home since November, a 3-1 defeat to FGR. Since then, they've had wins against Rochdale, Barrow and Tranmere, but have also drawn at home to Oldham, Scunthorpe and Stevenage. Of course we're yet to win in February, and I think it's going to be a tough ask to get that with the squad we have at our disposal at the moment, and with the obvious weather influence that match will invariabily have.
FWP predict a 2-1 defeat.
Safe travels to all of those going up for the match.

We bounce back from defeats well usualy and seem to do quite well against Hpool. Not sure what players we will have back but if we can get a couple back then who knows?

Exeter v Barrow is off tomorrow (just imagine that journey for a moment!), but all other L2 fixtures are still standing.

Hope the weather improves for tomorrow. Possible more rain / wind forecast for tomorrow. Hope all that are going have a safe journey and will see you up there. Hope that a couple of players are back tomorrow 🙏 after injury and illness. A draw or a win will do.
