Since TANTO had that injury mid last season I don't think he returned to the same player prior to his injury. Totally agree. Good player but don't think I'd want him back again.

I'm of the opinion that we need to look past the obsession of having Tanto back at GGL. We've already had him on loan for 3 spells at the club (arguably that would have been 2 if it wasn't for the pandemic). A 4th spell in 4 seasons would be unprecedented but most importantly wouldn't be right for him. Even with injury he's shown he can cope with L2, and really if Milwall intend to loan him out again, for theirs and Tanto's interests, it should be in L1.
The whole point of a loanee will always to be for the benefit of the player and the parent club. If the receiving club also benefits, then that's great. It will apply the same way when we loan players out, which we will do.

We need to sort out that striker pairing, they have not really been banging in the goals during PSFs.
I would like to see a little more of Thomas? Maybe he could play off of Bugiel or maybe Wilson and Thomas?

I would hope Tanto remains on the radar. The only reason he would come to us is because he has enjoyed it and we have that history. He needs a big season to either be retained by Millwall or get himself a good move. No reason that can’t be with us but also there will of course be other interest. Not the be all and end all but would definitely be a good signing in my view. There may be other options in the loan market of course and I’m sure Matt et al working hard to find the right player.

i would take Tanto back at the drop of a hat. He is a decent striker at League two level but would be well out of place in the Championship. We certainly need someone with his pace & power.

Matt’s throw away line at the end of his post Bromley interview i think gives a clue as to where our last squad additions will come from. He said that there are still 5 weeks to the end of the transfer window. To me that shouts that the last two missing pieces will be loans probably from higher up the pyramid as sides will have by then finalised their numbered squads and know who is surplus’s to requirements. Potentially these maybe of a higher standard than other loans secured by other teams earlier in the window, as they were being realistically considered for full squads and have fully participated in their home teams PS. I suspect Matt ( Terry) may have options onto likely candidates. Also as these players have been involved in PS elsewhere they haven’t trialled with us thus far. We will have also decided which of our players will go out on loan by next weekend. Therefore don’t expect any announcements anytime soon.

Not hanging around are Stockport since winning the National League - some good recruitment this summer, however I really hope there’s nothing in these Kizzi links though - he’s a key cog in our machine!

If it should happen, losing JK would undoubtedly be a blow but we have to remember that the price of being successful is that you attract attention from so called "bigger fish". Clubs with deeper pockets can make offers and I daresay any offered salary/package would be attractive. But would JK want too leave a successful team with a great togetherness and then relocate? The fact that we have a great squad while not paying the top wages shows that GGL is a great place to earn your living!
If he is tempted away, or until we reach 31 August I am certain that the manangemnt team have eyes on potential replacements to ensure our squad is not left light in any department

So a player who has never played further north than Billericay Town is being looked at by a side who already have 2 well established players in the position they play in, in a division which is a sideways moved.
Career wise, not the best move for him. Money wise it may be. But as virtually every rumour that has appeared in this thread, I could be wrong, but none of them have proved to be correct from what I can recall.

I would be disappointed to see players leave to play our competitors this season. Moving up the leagues is understandable. and why the club won't get in their way to progress. But I think when it comes to sideways moves, even if the clubs are historicity "bigger", we have the right to protect our interests. A certain northern forward who moved this season might be an exception being that he was on the bench a lot and lived and had family up north.

No problem with players moving on to clubs in higher divisions just as long as we get decent money for them. Undisclosed transfer fees suggest that supporters will be disappointed at the figures.

Del. You raise a very good point regarding "undisclosed transfer fee's" and actual fees received.
