Well that was a bit frustrating. To be honest, Swindon were better than Crewe and peppered us for a while in the first half. That first half however contained not only some of the best football I've seen us play this season, but was really entertaining stuff. As Banjo already stated Will and Kizz were great, but having Omar back really changed things up front, and some top quality work from Wilson to set up Randall for that first goal. Although at least 2 of the 3 goals we could do nothing about, for me the entire team changed with the triple subsitution. At that point the side seemed to lose direction and probably with the exception of Barden (playing on the wrong side of defence for him), and I understand that the players taken off had little left in the tank when they were, but none of the other 4 players that came on were an improvement on who they replaced or even equal to them. Albeit a small sample, we've now lost points in injury time in half of our away games this season, and we've managed 1 point out of a possible 12. Whilst last season one could argue that injury time goals "helped" as much as they hindered, we've not got that this season so far and there will come a point when it stops being "bad luck" and becomes habitual. If we want to progress, we need to work on that. Still at least we scored more than one goal against Swindon for the first time. Have to disagree slightly with Andy- Charley looked the real deal - he had real pace and produced one Tantoesque run at the defence - if only Jo had made the pass to put Charley through just before they scored. Apparently there was trouble in the tunnel after the game - do we know anything about this?

Also I think retrospective action needs taking against players feigning contact and injury to try and get a fellow professional sent off. 10 game ban should do the trick.

As when we lost at GGL last season, Swindon was easily the best footballing side U's have played so far, especially in the first half. Williams was almost unplayable and rightly got MotM.
For all the above though their first two goals were from defensive errors, the first harsh on Jack R as he had been outstanding prior to that.
Sutton had decent chances too and Will R's goals were excellent clean strikes, the second in particular. As I have said before he does score some great goals.
I doubt Matt would have been happy with the third either but the cross and finish were both top dollar.
Perhaps Omar was fortunate in that the officials weren't sure what happened although I would need to see it again to know if he was.
Ref tried to let the game flow and infuriated the home crowd on a few occasions. We will see, indeed have seen, a lot worse this season.
The curse of 90+ is becoming both too boring and repetitive for my liking.

The deflection off Coby really wrongfooted Jack, who made some excellent saves all night, as indeed did the home custodian

In the Sutton crowd last night was another Sutton legend - double promotion winning defender (and on one occasion goalkeeper) Simon Downer.

Looking at the replay we really should have attacked that cross from which their guy scored the winner. Comfortable for most of the second half .Eastmond's missed chance came back to bite us but we deserved something from the game. Randall took both his goals well the first one being well set up by Wilson who had a better game today.

Perhaps a moment we missed Mr Goodliffe, can’t help but feel he’d be throwing himself at that one. I think one reason we came away with nothing was a slight lack of composure. Easier said than done perhaps in high energy, tiring encounter but you’d expect Easty to clear the 2nd goal, we should expect a fresh Enzio not to overrun it for the 3rd, we have an easy ball through for Kendall to likely be 1 on 1 with keeper but took a poor decision, the first goal shouldn’t happen. Just a few moments that led to losing when it could as easily have gone the other way. A few times we managed to send a ball back into our own danger area, just seemed a bit panicky at times first half. We have a bit more time than we think sometimes. Hopefully we can bounce back with 3 on Sat.

First of all Belated Birthday wishes to FRANCIS AND ROB For yesterday. How many have seen the BIG mistake on the back of yesterday's programme? Plenty has been said about the game. One question. Why was the Swindon (21) Not booked or even sent off for the incident with Omar. Saying that Omar was lucky not to be sent off for retaliation.( am I correct in thinking ) Two great goals from Will. In some passages of play Swindon showed us how to play football or did we again sit back and allowed them to much room to play. Swindon's no.8 ran that game and deserved the man of the match. If I remember rightly he did that last season as well. Hope Rob and Omar are OK and did not suffer serious injuries. Agree with previous comments the defence is definitely missing Ben. Jason and staff will have to look at the defence. To many soft goals being given away. How many games have we lost points and or games by conceding very late goals.

Before yesterday we'd conceded 6 goals in 7 league games. Only one side last season had a better record than that over the 46 games than that (Northampton). Even looking at yesterdays goals, they could harldy be described as "soft". Their 2nd goal was especially fortunate for them. Yes we are missing our player of the season from last year, but it's not as if we can sign anyone else is there? We lost by one goal. Like we have every time we've played Swindon.

Just seen the highlights, the defending for the third goal was really poor. Did not close down the ball ones and gave too much space Matt when he sees that will not be happy with that. How many times can you say we deserved something from it. Yes we are missing our best defender but must defend better than that third goal..⚽️⚽️⚽️
