We haven’t played a team in the league that were clearly better than us yet. Quite unbelievably we’ve played 7 of the top 11 but not the current top 3. We do travel to current 3rd placed Stevenage shortly. We could do with finding our 1st away win before that game. They are 10 straight wins at home.
Swindon probably the best side we’ve faced but even there we could and should have come away with something.
The management and players must be incredibly frustrated. I really feel we’re a few places lower than we should be. Can’t help but feel the points we’ve dropped to date will cost us come the end of the season but of course a long way to go. Just fractions in the final third at both ends are clearly going to go a long way to determining league position. I guess it was ever thus but improving our efficiency in front of goal, even by a few percent, would potentially dramatically improve our fortunes.

Hello again. Bit of a trip report from our very enjoyable visit to GGL yesterday. Arrived at Sutton from St Pancras via Thameslink at 12.50. Got off the train with the intention of changing for West Sutton however we didn't realise we were meant to stay on the same train and missed it. That minor setback led us to a visit to the Old Bank next door where the manageress turned out to be from up here in Tynemouth. Wasn't the most welcoming host and we almost expected a Pat Butcher style "Get out of My Pub". Missed the next West Sutton train and ended up on the 80 bus before cutting through the park. Bought our tickets where the lady put a mark next to our club for each of us to indicate how many season ticket holders from each other club had purchased. The list contained many clubs BTW. From there we settled on the club bar which didn't disappoint. Good food and drink prices for London. Homely, we met some nice people. A couple from Estonia. A group of lads from Sweden. Back in there at HT then sacrificed the last 5 mins or so to catch a direct train back to St Pancras. Bought a burger then had a pint in Millers at Kings X before a visit to the adjacent tesco extra for cans for the train. Was quite a drink marathon TBH but had a great day and will tell nothing but good tales from our visit to Sutton. Excellent club. Real club with real fans. We wish you the best of luck for the future and hope you continue to progress. Thanks for your help on here and to anyone we met yesterday.

It s worth noting that for all our the attacking endeavour and chances created in the frst half, we did not muster a shot on target! In fact apart from our goal plus the last minute effort from Kylian, we did not force their keeper into a save did we? Think that’s correct. Don’t think either keeper had a save worthy of the name before that point. Trying to remember if a grubbed left footer from Josh was technically our 1 on target 1st half. Wilson had one goal bound effort blocked wide.

I think this defeat came down to naivety.
The referee was conned so many times by their players going down feigning injury. We should've rumbled it and played them at their own game. We do have a couple of experienced players who do this I know.
I know that we feel that we are too ethical to resort to this kind of thing but if we want to compete, we have to grow up.

If this great football club started to make feigning injury a deliberate part of their arsenal I would not hesitate in ceasing my support.
Sutton Utd are well above that - all the due respect we have received from the footballing public should not in any way be squandered by a call to such antics.

I can't take issue with the sentiment, but fans of other clubs have accused Sutton players of deploying this very tactic. I doubt that any team in League Two (and beyond) is in a position to take the moral high ground here.

Faking injury etc.is going on in all the league's.it cons the officials and wastes playing time.As was seen on Saturday. If you watched the ladies matches on tv in the recent euro Cup. The ladies didn't roll around Faking it but got on with the game.

I'm not saying I agree with it, but we always seem to be the victims of it.

Of course we always seem to be. You're massively biased just like the rest of us so you'll always see it more when it goes against us.

I haven't seen the highlights so what exactly did Donovan do? He kicked out at the player and admitted it afterwards..
