At the risk of being slagged off (again), being accused of living in the past etc. - I understand that Millwall currently expect to be looking to send Tanto out on loan in January. It wouldn't surprise me if Peterborough would be open to doing the same with David A given that he doesn't appear to be anywhere near their first Xi at the moment. It would be interesting to see a front 4 of David, Josh, Tanto and Will - with some of the other fringe players being given an opportunity to go out on loan and have more game time themselves. In anticipation of a number of our players being available again after injury post Xmas, the opportunity might be there to really push on in the second half of the season - like Bristol Rovers did last season. Obviously Matt will do what he thinks best - subject to financial resources available. OK - time for the slagging off to begin!

You have a perfect right to your opinion. I am a massive fan of Tanto. However if Millwall do propose to send him out on loan in that period, I would imagine that they would prefer him to go to a League One club.

Whilst avoiding stating the obvious, I don't think it would be in Tanto's or Milwall's interest to go on loan again to us. He's have great gametime with us in the National League and L2, and it would be much better for his development for him to go to a L1 side instead.
David A featured on the teamsheet for all of the first month of the season, in all competitions. And then he dropped out of sight. As far as I'm aware he's not injured. He may well be loaned out, or Peterborough may be looking at listening to offers in the January window.
But again, trying to avoid stating the obvious, there will be plenty of players available in the January transfer window, whether on loan, or to purchase, and we may offload a couple ourselves

You're all correct in that Millwall's preference would be for Tanto to go to a League One team (Wycombe previously showed an interest) - although they primarily just want him to play regularly - and they know that he has been given the opportunity to do that with us. Of course, Millwall previously sent him out on loan to St Johnstone - and that didn't work out at all. David A is playing for Peterborough U21s at the moment. He did not even make the bench in the EFL Trophy the other night. Main problem for David is that after Peterborough signed him from us towards the beginning of the transfer window, they also signed Mason-Clark from Barnet towards the end of the transfer window - and they appear to prefer the latter to David. As well as the 'make-shift' team has done in the last couple of matches under the guidance of our brilliant manager, I still feel that we are missing that 'X factor' that we had last season - although on his day, Will is capable of providing this.

January is often considered to be a difficult time for transfer business, and the type of business SU do will be dependent on where the club stands in the league and what the injury situation is by then (same for most clubs, really). Unless the club is in a difficult league position I would hope they’d hold off on any significant recruitment until the summer.

That front 4 might be interesting but it’s never going to happen. In the unlikely event that we got Tanto and Ajiboye back then we’d still play Bugiel.
Ajiboye playing with their U21 side I think is a sad waste at his stage in his career. Odd signing given they play wing backs but they may have a longer view on it. I firmly believe someone should be playing first team football as much as possible at his age though. If I were him I’d look for a loan. I’d take him back in an instant.

What about Donovan? What about Charlie? These are strikers. None of the 4 you mention are what you would call a Centre Forward.

Mason-Clark hasn't featured for Posh recently but still no Ajiboye.
Can't be doing him or Tanto any favours playing u23 football having had a season in L2. A retrograde step for both I would have thought.

As luck would have it, I am not put off by beimg slagged off on here 2 things, turning back to old players doesn't normally work, Tanto wasn't the same in his second spell and of course Roarie didn't work out either. I still belive if you are looking for a gem, you might find it in Kouassi, once he came inside last night and linked up with Donny they looked a handful. Slagging off begin........
