Very frustrating, I mean down to ten men Walsall and could only score one goal and that from a penalty. Yes we have Injuries but don’t all clubs and also to concede another late goal frustrating. As said in the commentary, thing too work on.⚽️⚽️⚽️

Our first choice front two fail to score again. Our game management lets us down and we concede a late goal - again. This after playing against 10 men for over an hour.

No game plan. No wingers. No goals apart from the penalty. Subs used to late( again ) OK they played eight at the back and parked their bus.But we could not get around or through them. Why are we afraid of shooting instead of trying to walk the ball into the net. Again the ref was ( no comment)Allowed to much time wasting and allowing to much wrestling. Hope Eastie is OK at what looked a really nasty injury to his face.

There is a saying on the planet I come from, 'The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result'
Bugiel and Wilson have 2 goals between them all season, on Tuesday we hit upon a combination that looked dangerous Wilson / Kouassi. How long will it before the change upfront is made?

I thought Milsom, Bugiel and Rowe had decent games, the rest not great. The biggest disappointment today amongst the players, in my opinion, was Will Randall. We all know he’s a potential match winner, but today he was just poor. His biggest problem of course is that he’s too one-footed, and he cuts in on his right 99% of the time; he’s becoming far too predictable and easy to defend against.
Here’s a suggestion, why not play him on the right, maybe then he’ll get to the touchline and deliver the kind of cross or cross-shots we know he can deliver? Maybe then the likes of Bugiel and Wilson could attack a ball whilst facing the goal rather than invariably having their backs to goal.
Another suggestion for Randall - practice how to use your left foot!

Poor first touches. Players receiving the ball and then seeing no runners or team mates getting into positions to progress the play. Fear of shooting. Seemingly freezing, suggesting no game plan or a lack of understanding of one…
That can all be called out as being ‘disloyal’ or ‘negative’ but the facts are that we are not progressing this season. Yes, we have injuries, but that exposes a weak squad. This team have done wonders on and off the pitch over the past three seasons, but sometimes the truth needs to be faced. We need freshness on that pitch, a plan B, an understanding that there are weaknesses to be eradicated. Otherwise it will be bottom third. And yes, to some, survival will be enough. But do we really want to tread water as an excepted aim? Of course we cannot demand, or expect promotion, but we can surely wish to see confident, attractive football?

Today's game is one of frustration and the same old huff and puff. I look at our team and today we played as if we did not know each other passes over hit, huff and puff from our front two and movement was slow by all that played. I understand injuries happen and today we lost our captain to a dangerous kick! BUT also we lost direction. The game was calling out for pace and direction when they went down to 10, stretch the play and quacking passing but what we got was slow very slow and netural build up! We where not smart with the ball not once did we try and stretch the play. The real frustrating thing was we have wingers who can do this but today they were just doing one trick one ran but did little the other cut inside and had one shot. We needed leadership and a plan but I could not see one from players or management. Two points dropped and when all is said and done could we be looking at these points dropped and worrying about league position?

To answer your question. Have wingers that play on the wings.Instead of playing midfield. Try shooting more at goal.Use subs earlier ( around the hour )not for the last ten minutes. How would you have played today's game?

Wasn’t at the game but I don’t think we’re the only side to struggle at this level to break down 9 remaining outfield players lying deep behind the ball. And Walsall normally defend pretty well. That said disappointing to not do more and make it tell, and even more disappointing not to defend the lead properly against 10 men. It’s another point but we could have done with the extra couple ahead of a tough run.
Onto Northampton we go. Tough one and them winning at Stevenage is a clue we’ve got our work cut out. See you there and hope we can surprise everyone.
