I am sure you mean Sam.
Almost certainly taken off as on a yellow card, and with the squad stretched could not risk a suspension.

Northampton manager bemoaning his injury list post match We’ve got news for him…. What a load of old cobblers, get a life pal we were too good for you in the 2nd half because we had belief and a manager that knows how to rearrange a depleted team in spite of injuries, just like you in fact only we don’t moan about it but just get on and do the job.

I thought Sam was one of the brighter players in the first half. I think we probably need to give Matt more credit for a tactical change, which worked perfectly. If you think about it, the entire spine of the team that built our success last season was absent yesterday - Goodliffe, John, Eastmond, Beautyman, Smith. I thought in the first half yesterday we were significantly losing the battle in midfield and a little change made all the difference. Kouassi was a handful when he came on, but Omar was magnificent. Not just winning everything around him, but he was marshalling the entire midfield in a very Eastmond way. Scored a very well deserved goal and pressured a mistake by the Northampton full back to unlock Donovan. Not only was that a very well deserved point at a difficult opponent, but really felt like we properly channelled the Sutton side of last year, something I think we've been lacking at times this season. We get the same outcome as Saturday, but felt very different, and so much more.

Bar the recent Dons game I’m currently following games from sofa/phone following birth of my daughter so was delighted to see our comeback to gain a point last night - have we turned the corner on our travels?? Two excellent goals from us with Milsoms whipped cross and Bugiels header then Donny’s brilliant finish.
I’m a bit out of touch with currently injury timelines - do we have any of the stricken lot back soon? (Barden, Eastmond, Smith, John, Beautyman, Rose, Pierre, Goodliffe).

A bit on injuries in Matt’s recent interviews. Rose not far off. Smith and Beautyman back running so hopefully not many more weeks for them. Goodliffe knee brace off but suspect more months timeframe still for him. Barden we won’t see this season I can’t think! Pierre can’t remember but doesn’t seem serious one. John and Eastmond in contention for Saturday.

Thanks Gareth - this is a lot more positive than I was thinking - I wonder if Beautyman and Smith might be ready for after the cup game?!
We’ll definitely need Eastmond for Saturday - Stockport perhaps starting to find some form with another win last night.

Some very fair minded stuff on the Northampton fans' forum, imo. Perceptive bunch.

Let's hope that Matt can channel Henry V in the dressing-room. 🗣 Think he must have done at half time!

Watched the last two performances on the stream as out of the country. Tuesday night was brilliant to watch and more like the Sutton of last season especially the 2nd half.

No 'Sutton are just Route 1 and physical' stuff. That I can recall. Even when they were discussing their own, quite real, injury problems our own, worse, injury problems were highlighted. Decent forum, I'd say.

I did a quick Wikipedia check on Mitch Pillock (sorry, Pinnock) whose goal celebration on Tuesday was somewhat provocative. His previous clubs include Bromley, Tonbridge Angels, Maidstone, Kingstonian and Dover. That might explain a bit.
