If the club has appealed and wins it, I doubt it would be downgraded to a yellow as l don't think it works like that.
He also wouldn't miss this Saturday anyway as yellow cards are competition specific

I wasn't there and (again) I haven't got time to read all these posts.
Was it a justified red card?
I've said it before and I'll say it again. He's a marked man by referees. Bugiel just has to make contact with someone and he's carded.
We need to appeal to the referees committee or the FA and get them to just see things how they are at the moment? His reputation goes before him.

To the letter of the law, it was a hgh foot studs showing which I think did hurt the guy, so a red could be given. Their player was lucky to get away with a yellow.

I wasn't talking about rescinding it but talking to those in authority to judge Omar fairly in future and not just over-react because he has this reputation.

Has the club appealed the booking and if so what is the outcome?

I can't believe the club appealed it in the first place, it was never going to be successful.

When both managers didn't think it was a red I suppose there was a chance.
Also, how the referee's report was worded may have had some influence.
Of course, when you're missing so many players already and based on the above, why not?
In the past l believe a referee has been consulted for opinion too.

There were a couple of sucessful appeals in the past around wording, the very first video appeal the club made was vs Bath City, the ref wrote the red was for a trip, but the video showed a shirt pull. Another against Hemel for a push in the face that was actually a push in the chest. Wording didn't help with Bedsy at Ebbsfleet, sent off for a push but video showed he whacked the fleet player in the head My only concern about desperate appeals is that they count negatively against the club.

Not being in the know I'm not sure why we appealed, but I believe as suggested, it was not because we thought we would get it overturned but rather it sends a message that we think he is being targeted for a carding.
Don't get me wrong, he is no angel but i'd say combative rather than with any malicious/dangerous intent

Unfortunately the FA seem completely unwilling to overturn all but the most blatant of mistakes these days. We had one earlier in the season where the ref wrote in his report that the red was for an elbow. Video evidence showed there wasn't an elbow and that our player was just trying to shrug off a Doncaster player who was all over him. FA still upheld the ban despite admitting there was no elbow. I thought Omar's red was harsh, but have seen them given against us and am not remotely surprised it didn't get overturned.

FROM THE TRAVEL SECRETARY RE CARLISLE. As advertised on this thread and other social media for the past month regarding the above mentioned match and yesterday being the last day to to what? This post makes no sense and why is it on the Stockport thread?
