Well what do we all think about this one ? It's a long way up to Carlisle for a 1pm kick off!!!
They are having a very good season so far having only lost one match at home and only two away.
Can't wait to read Sol's predicted scoreline. Shouldn't they have sent him to Quatar as i hear they have abundant Custard Creams there!
I'd settle for a point and maybe either Harry or Ali back on the bench.Have to wait to hear Matt's information on that.
Safe journey to all travelling.I'll settle for the stream.

The combo of the long journey, Carlisle's quality and their home form says we lose this one, to me. Sorry, but there it is. A draw would be a really good result.
I am looking for us to, and exepcting us to, pick up points in the other December matches, though.

It's one of those where we travel more in hope than expectation. Last season we beat them 6-0 on aggregate (and one of our goals at their place was an excellent piece of teamwork), but we did play them when they were at particularly low ebbs, and they're clearly a different proposition now under Paul Simpson.
There's a chance that we'll face our former striker Tobi Sho-Silva, though I doubt that he'll start; last weekend he came on as a late substitute in their 2-1 Cup defeat at Walsall.

After we played them at our place last season there were a bunch of genial Carlisle fans on my train home, chatting to a young South London girl, who asked them 'Where is Carlisle? I only know it from that Royal Navy advert'. Nice little moment. ('On the way to Scotland. But not IN Scotland!')

Preview Carlisle United v Sutton United Carlisle were beaten 2-1 by Walsall last weekend in the FA Cup. The Cumbrians were the better team for 88 minutes but poor mistakes defensively cost them progression to the next round of the FA Cup much to manager Paul Simpson’s frustration. The Cumbrians injury worries are starting to ease with Ryan Edmondson and Kristian Dennis both retuning to the starting line up last weekend. Meanwhile Jack Stretton and Ben Barclay both gave contributions to last weekend’s game with Walsall having both been blighted by injury in recent times.
Sutton haven’t played for 10 days since being beaten 1-0 by AFC Wimbledon in the Papa John’s Trophy. The boys from Gander Green Lane have been woeful in recent weeks winning just one of their last seven games in all competitions. Striker Omar Bugiel will be back from suspension for this one which will help to improve Sutton’a small squad as well as a 10 day break which could help the likes of Craig Eastmond and Rob Milsom recover from playing the majority of minutes so far this season. Sutton’s injury crisis hasn’t helped them with Enzio Boldewijn having to slot in at right back in recent weeks and Joe Kizzi having to play centre back. This weekend it is unlikely any of their players will return from injury meaning it’ll be another patched up side for Matt Gray.
Key Player – Ryan Edmondson Carlisle striker Ryan Edmondson got his third goal since arriving in the summer last weekend. He’s struggled with a few injury problems but when fit he’s made a very good partner for Kristian Dennis.

Can't wait to read Sol's predicted scoreline. I think I've worked out Sol's secret system. It involves a handicap whereby two goals should be deducted from Sutton's predicted number and two goals added to our opponents. So, it's 3-1 to Carlisle. Seriously, it's difficult to see us getting anything out of this one but it's a funny old game as somebody once said.

That is a good result! Sometimes, and this is one, I underestimate our team. Silly me!

Very good value today and deserving of a point. Typical of our luck it looks as if Ali is back but Randall could be out for a while with an ankle injury. Wilson and Bugiel were good value today . A lot less aimless long ball and keeping the ball on the ground with some good passing. 49% possession away from home is good.

Very good point - but at a high cost if Will is indeed ruled out for a while.

Didn't see the match, sadly. Did it look like a particularly bad knock for Will? I'm wondering why the 'could be out for a while' assumption?

He just seemed to get clipped near the end as he hurdled a tackle. He ran on and played a cross field pass but then went down. Hopefully just a precaution as only minutes left.
