Looks like David Rock will be Ref, who refereed for us against Gillingham at their place. I recall him being awful and stopping the game every 2 minutes. Then again Gillingham have been a bit like that both times we have played them this year. Lets hope its not the same tonight..

(Watching from home, due to a cold)
I'm going to say we absolutely deserved that. Simply due to our incredible perserverance and pure staying power. This team, this squad, just never stop.
We must be horrible to play against.

Not the best performance but hard work and grit in the second half won us the game. Swindon definitely had the better of the first half and I thought we were a bit lack luster and gave a poor goal away. Second half we stepped it up and worked really hard. I think on that bases we deserved at least a point. We did not seem to have the rub of the green but but kept working.
Good to see Angol get on the score sheet again, Hart looking decent again and Ajiboye looking like his old self, Smith also had a good second half..

What a result that was! Swindon our bogey team??
They were on top from about the 10th to the 60th minute, but only scored once. (BTW: not a good idea to give Charlie Austin space to receive the ball on the edge of your area.) But for the last half-hour we gradually ramped up the pressure. Bringing on Angol and Dennis in place of Bugiel and Wilson seemed to give us the decisive edge; Dennis struck the bar and soon afterwards Angol pounced on the loose ball to level things up. Many of us would have settled for a point at that stage, but we weren't done, Ajiboye setting up Smith to loop in a winner. 😃
The win takes up to 10th, the highest we've been all season, but let's not rest on our laurels.

It’s a wonderful win. Nothing beats turning it round late on. Almost makes up for Doncaster. I don’t think we were anywhere near our best tonight but we persevered and showed our usual commitment. And that ended up being enough. Much better defensively and pressing wise 2nd half and it gave us a basis to have a go. A number of times we had chances on the edge of the box but nothing would fall or we couldn’t get the clear cut chance. Swindon almost killed the game on the break but Rose was again excellent. When Dennis hit the bar you started to think one of those days but we got our break and then went on to win it. 9 times out of 10 the ref probably blows for a foul on the keeper for the first one. We look in much better shape in terms of options from the bench and Dennis/Angol had a proper impact.
Reckon Swindon may yet still have a say in the play off race. Plenty of quality, I guess it’s the resilience/experience that is in question for them

Well having started this thread, I just have to say that I basically floated on a high back down the M4 after the match to Swindon. I may strut around the place for a few days, as although not always the best watch, we kept going, dug deep and finally got the break we deserved. And who doesn’t like a late come back. It’s a rare thing lately to see us get a late winner, but when that happens, what a feeling!!! Thanks to the players you have made this exile living in Swindon one very, very, VERY happy person! 🫶🏻😁

I agree that overall we weren't at our best in this game, at times getting rather overrun in midfield as we missed the suspended Craig Eastmond. Enzio, who'd done well recently covering at right back, looked less comfortable standing in for the injured Will Randall on the left wing. But one player who did impress me was Coby Rowe, playing his first game since early November (with Louis still out). A challenge near the halfway line late in the first half set up a shooting chance for Enzio (who hesitated a bit too long). And in the second half a powerful shot was deflected out for a corner. Great to see him back.

Maybe if Will isn't fit for Doncaster then move Hart up to that position allowing Milsom to slot in again at left back.

I believe that Lee Angol was playing on the left wing for Bradford City this season prior to his transfer to Sutton.

I know we've had more than our fair share of poor decisions this season but allowing our equalizer has to be right up there with the worst of them... When the ref blew the whistle for the restart I was convinced he'd finally come to his senses.

Who was the ref in the end then?
By the way looking at the stats on BBC we had 22 shots to their 11. I never care about possession stats as that means nothing really.
