If he is on trial there the reality is he may possibly be offered a contract there. This may be holding up a possible investment in a new striker here. He has not featured in any of their friendlies so it would appear his agent is trying to get him to join the Blackpool academy which is very strange. Personally, after this, I would not want him in our squad. We need players who want to be here and are 100% focused on the job here. He has missed pre-season and should not get ahead of some of the other lads who have been training with us. It's a silly situation and while we can blame his agent, ultimately his agent works for him. Perhaps there is not much we can do about it and if they do not offer him a deal, or if he does not accept their deal, then we still have him and still pay his wages. It's no wonder Matt looked a bit peeved about it. Basically its a p*** take. To be fair, this is similar to the situation Louis John was in a few years ago with Ebbsfleet instead of Blackpool. Unfortunately young players will get their head turned but I do get your point about players wanting to be here. Personally I don't think he should get ahead of other players because I don't think he is as good as the others we have. For his career, him performing well in August last season wasn't a blessing. He should have gone out on loan to a NL side, playing week in week out and learning every game in a tough division. Because he didn't he still has a lot to learn at this level. |

You wouldn’t even say he’s cemented himself as a league 2 level player yet let alone one in a team who would be looking to win promotion to the Championship. We saw how much David Ajiboye struggled to make the step up and he is ten times the player Kylian is at this moment of time. I think he could get a lot better advice from our changing room from players like Eastmond, Louis John, Craig Clay etc about playing football at any level than the advice his agent is giving him about money

I don't think that we should necessarily dismiss transfer rumours just because they don't always come to fruition. Matt may well have looked to bring Nadesan to Sutton - but the player may have received a better offer from Gillingham. Similarly, KK may have been close to signing for Blackpool - but either the player or the club or both changed their mind(s) for whatever reason. We don't know and we probably never will. It could be that Nadesan and Trialist C may have been the two missing pieces in Matt's squad jigsaw - but Gillingham gazumping us over Nadesan and Trialist C's injury against Millwall may have curtailed those potential options - we don't know and we can only speculate. It is the nature of the transfer window that it is difficult to distinguish between fact and fiction - truth and spin. I remember Dave F posting on this board before that Matt always had options B and C on his radar if option A isn't possible. If Nadesan was option A - and he no longer remains an option - we move on to option B - and so on.

The forum would be really boring if we just reproduced verbatim what the club has already officially told us. |

More likely shows there was something in the rumour. Just that once a Gillingham comes knocking we can’t compete wages wise. This is the same Gillingham paying decent money to take players off Mansfield who are themselves one of the bigger spenders.

There was a very good chance that Omari Patrick would have gone to Mansfield, but they were unable to off-load a player to make way in their wage bill/squad numbers by all accounts plus I suspect Clough didn't want him just as an out and out winger |
