Private, what does it say please? I note we failed with an appeal per match preview for tonight. Try this one for exact wording. But basically says Barrow player stamped first and he reacted. Video didn't help as filmed from wide angle (as we know match footage didn't pick it up) fb.watch/mr4Mdp_Dgv/

Just found out my sisters fella's work colleague knows Smiths other half. And they reckon the Barrow player stood on his foot, Smith reacted and kicked back, the fourth official saw it but not the initial stomp. So it seems the Barrow player was lucky not to see red too... I was wondering who the Barrow player was and does he have any “previous” as it has been stated that he shouted out during the alleged offence thereby making sure that someone would hear? Have to find out who it was and make sure he gets sufficient Boo's when they visit us later in the year.

On that basis, I think Smith has been hard done by. If anything he was first being obstructed by the idiot who then took a dive on the floor. The 4th official is an idiot and the Barrow player should be ashamed of himself. Luckily enough we have two games this week so it wont be long till Smith can get back on it.

He admitted he deliberately stamped on the Barrow player's foot, which is a red card offence, provoked or not. Not sure what the basis for the appeal was.

I would have thought if the player was grinding his studs in his foot then any reaction could be taken in context. The fact he was the only one sent off is a joke. The video clearly shows who was instigating the confrontion and he was not even facing the ball. I would have thought it's at least enough for the other player to now face a suspension...

Retaliation has always been the major offence.

I have seen the actually video from the wide angle camera, firstly I am really surprised the club went ahead with an appeal based on that evidence, it was clearly never going to be enough?
I am aslo surpriced that Tom White didn't also see red either on the day or retrospectively, kicking out at a player in retaliation is a straight red, and that is clear on the video..
