A long trip on the road to north east Lincolnshire awaits this weekend for Sutton as we’re still in search of our first success on the road this season, we remain unbeaten in the league in November - here’s hoping that stays in tact come 5pm tomorrow afternoon.
I think we drew 0-0 up at Grimsby towards the end of August last season before losing 0-1 at home in March. Seems like we’ll have Harry Smith available tomorrow after initially thinking he’d be suspended - Gape and Milsom both went off on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy so this match might come too soon for them but Lee Angol will return to the squad.
I'm hoping that Omari gets the chance to come on up front at some time as his pace will surely trouble defenders. Now looks like Gape will be available and will probably start with N'Guessan. Did the drive last year. Not this time for me but safe journey to all travelling.
What's happened to mystic meg lately ? I miss his predictions.
Could do with finding that elusive first away win. Grimsby much better at home than away and improved under caretakers, on that basis another point is a decent return but an away win will do wonders for our prospects.
Re. future opponents/run the old mantra works well, game at a time. We can compete with most in this league now, particularly at home.
Lose this and we are likely 8 points from any remote chance of real safety. We will also have demonstrated that we can't win games on the road, or at home to the teams around us. It will be bleak and yes, I'm being pessimistic, there's not been much on show recently to encourage me otherwise.
We need 3 points. With the run of games coming up this is the best chance we are going to get in a while. A draw really isn't good enough results-wise, although maybe performance-wise it is.
Sounds like we should have one this game but that is three draws in a row now so defensively we are improving, but must take our chances when they come. We are four points off Tranmere now and Tuesday game wont be easy, crew are in the top six. Having said that we are still in touch but many more draws or losses could see us adrift so really we need wins.
ggl: So are we now saying we have a manager who is not in favour of bringing in loan players and if the board decided to part company with him they cannot afford to do so ?

historyboy: Sad to hear of the passing of Eddie Cack, I remember him well. I think that the said photograph publishsed by the club, of him sitting next to Dave Hermitage, isn't him at all; I think the picture shows Micky Goodall. Compare other pictures of both.

scorpioeyes: It certainly would be 'convenient' for Dover to have the season washed out. if they fail to turn up tomorrow,we should be awarded the game and 3-0 to our goal difference. Why should we be inconvenienced by any attempts to rearrange the game?

Burtie: Hello chaps. Is there any intelligence about the crowd situation for the game vs Hartlepool on 22 May? Does the club have a position on supporters?

scorpioeyes: I think these odds are quite amazing. If I was a neutral looking at the recent form and upcoming fixtures,I'd make hartlepool or perhaps Torquay as fave for the title. To have 'pool at 9s and us as evens is bizarre.

valiant: Hello again! Can you tell me where the away seating is please? I thought it was behind the goal next to the away terrace but looking at the film on Quest I can't see it! Thanks.

pinewalker: There is a temporary stand at 45 degrees to the pitch behind the NE corner flag, and there is more away seating at the east end of the main stand both accessed via the away turnstiles.

holmesdale96: Sorry to hear of Danny's death, a real loss. I saw him regularly during the 90's at his home in Streatham, always charged the same small fee for years, an absolute gentleman with his dear wife Rose. RIP Danny
