By my reckoning, injury list includes Rose, Bouzanis, Hart, Milsom, Goodliffe, John, Barden, Eastmond, Kashket, Kasimu, Gape…..that’s 11. Hopefully we can get a few of them fit for Saturday?

It’s left back where we have the issue.
I can only guess that Patrick will be gone in January. Looks like we are not playing him to keep him fit for the transfer window. Mellor is injured apparently

A very well won point tonight, all the players put in a great effort. John injured a blow Christrian took a hard knock on his ankle with something like 25 mins to go and really soldiered on. Shame the supporters did not turn up in real numbers. Thought generally the officials did OK.

Agreed, a hard-earned draw. That's our fourth consecutive 1-1 in the league. Given the makeshift side we had to field for most of the second half, against a rather better outfit than Colchester, Tranmere and Grimsby, a point actually feels like a decent return.
It's still a pity that we didn't make more of that spell of pressure shortly after the 80th minute, in which O'Brien struck a post. Crewe though can point to their shot off the bar towards the end of the first half.
Our injury list has now become a major concern. None of the four players forced off in the last two games was in tonight's squad, then we lost Louis John (who'd at least scored his second equaliser in consecutive home games). Once again, we're almost down to the bare bones.

You have to say a great effort from the team tonight to win that point and keep us unbeaten in November, and with so many players out, they should be proud of themselves.
We are staying in touch with safty, so when players do come back we can push on.
We conceeded that goal from a mistake, but leading up to it we just gave the freedom of the midfield to Crewe, and it was pressure that told. I much prefer pressing then just getting back into shape, and hoping to clear everything, even when we did clear the ball it was to no one. Second half was better, and I must say that Dion looks the real deal, and could be the magic man we are looking for?

Good battling point. Thought Crewe were the best side I’ve seen down the Lane so far this season. A few jittery individual errors in the defence first half and we were a touch lucky not to be punished at least once before we were. Clearing our lines properly would make life a lot easier at times. We responded though and worked away. Thought generally a bit better and more solid 2nd half. They gave us a real chance on the break by committing numbers forward but we didn’t quite take the right option to get the winner (bar the O’Brien one which we worked well). Happy with another point tonight.
Yes, injuries mounting but hopefully a few might be close - Gape, Goodliffe didn’t seem that serious, Hart must be close and should be running fit at the very least. John is a worry as seems to be picking up a few injuries recently. Kizzi might just be our best centre back so I’ve no problem with him there and Jackson right back - which leaves left back as the problem. Could Pereira have a stab at it? At least he has a left and should offer a decent outlet and a bit of balance.
Thought that was the best goalkeeper I’ve seen out of the ones currently at the club just on that one showing. Kicks could do with some work but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and put down to rustiness.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Patrick start Saturday, think it’s out of the question we’ll be keeping him out of the side to sell him! Still may have an important role to play for us this season. At least he’s one of the few fresh.

First the positive - A good point against an in form team, keeps the points ticking over - keep the faith. Now the negative - I have enjoyed watching Sutton for nearly forty years and have always looked forward to our games, but over recent weeks the ‘whingers’ in the Collingwood Rec stand have raised their consistent moaning to a new level. Tonight was no exception, with constant negativity and insults to our own players (how anyone can question Harry B’s commitment to our club and his worthiness of the captaincy is beyond me!). Listening to the 3 or 4 main culprits it is clear that they are all world class coaches, albeit that the vast majority of their decision making seems to be with the benefit of hindsight, with constant mixed messages coming from them (it is very common to hear them call for us to ‘pressure the ball’ only for that to be followed immediately by ‘where is the midfield’ once the opposition has bypassed the press!). They clearly don’t enjoy watching Sutton at the moment (and I know it’s been tough this season) but here’s a friendly suggestion - if you don’t like watching us at the moment then don’t come to watch, then the rest of us supporters can enjoy the game in peace and do what we go to the games for, to support the team through the good and the bad. Sorry for the long rant but we have to all be in this together - it’s always been that way and always should be. Looking forward to Saturday - although I may need to relocate within the ground to preserve my sanity!!

Looking forward to Saturday - although I may need to relocate within the ground to preserve my sanity!! Completely agree. I’ve recently done just that for exactly the same reason. From my point of view, the role of the supporter is in the name - we’re there to support and encourage. How people think shouting continual negative and quite abusive comments to players helps them perform I really can’t fathom.

Just to get one thing out of the way; can our keepers please try not to keep knocking the ball out of play from goal kicks? It's abject.
Otherwise no complains from me (for once). A battling performance against a skillful Crewe side. We did well.

I admit that I have had negative moans on this forum but at matches our “ job “ is to support the players . If you cannot do this then either don’t go to the matches or do go and shut the f##k up whilst there 😤 .

Looking forward to Saturday - although I may need to relocate within the ground to preserve my sanity!! Probably the same guys that have been doing it for forty years. Certainly some have been standing there that long. Back in the day their targets have included Matt Hanlan and Paul Rogers. A Coventry hero and a guy who ended up in the Premier League. They know their football, eh? Fortunately, you can't hear them from la curva these days but I would rather get soaked in the open than stand anywhere near them under cover mainly to avoid an argument (as posters on here know, I don't like rows🤔) As others have said, a good performance against an in form side who played the Crewe way. Gradi may be persona non grata these days but his footballing philosophy appears to still live on. As said elsewhere, ref was one of the better ones on that evidence as was, save for some over fussing, the guy at Grimsby. Squad now as stretched as it has ever been in the last few seasons and it has been stretched badly before.

I can not easily find any information on our website but presume the two centre halves we have out on loan are cup-tied for the fa cup otherwise we might have been able to recall one or other for extra cover this weekend and perhaps even going forwards.

Not much to add to what others have said. I questioned whether age was catching up with HarryB at the start of the season but I thought he was superb last night to add to to excellent performances over recent weeks.
Maybe it's just me but the other Harry seemed just a tad out of sorts maybe because of carrying a knock or having a different partner up front who, I'm afraid, again posed little threat?

Moved from that area of the ground for good about a decade or so back. There are a minority of idiots, actually only a handful, who turn up to vent their week’s rage at talented people they could only have ever dream of emulating and maybe that’s it, jealousy and bitterness. Odd guys.
If things on the field do go to plan and we do develop the ground maybe we can re-build the terrace for them a few miles away and they can shout and yell at clouds instead?
