Someone has to start the thread.
I am hopeful we can get a result if we play like we did Saturday, and maybe a little luck is due.

I thought no one was going to! OK, we're all a little nervous...

Crewe are 4th in the league table and 4th in the form table, with five wins in their last six league games. They also knocked Derby County out of the FA Cup. This one won't be easy. But being at home under the lights might just give us an edge.

Agree with JR Salford and before that Grimsby come to mind , a top top performance from everyone is required, the team, supporters, and match officials

The team played poorly in those night games against Grimsby and Salford, particularly the latter. I'm anticipating a better performance this evening.

Warning: a kite-flying exercise.
You have probably heard of the Bermuda Triangle - but have you considered the Collingwood Rectangle? It begins at the away entrance corner flag and extends up the Collingwood touchline to 10 yards from halfway, and is 13 yards wide, the distance from the touchline to the penalty box. Left-wingers have been known to disappear, for both U's and opponents teams. Visiting right backs often begin inside it but after about 10 minutes they realise there never will be a football with a LW attached for them to tackle. then they shift across, as does the whole back 4 because their LB seems to have two players to mark near the Stands touchline. Early explanations of this phenomenon blamed the artificial pitch, but that has been gone for a while. Still nobody in the centre circle aims a pass into the Rectangle, expecting a winger to collect it.
Both Sutton and opponents have no difficulty producing both a left winger and right winger when attacking the GGL end - but when playing the other way the Rectangle scares them. I wonder - will we see the effect tonight?

That was a good drew against a good side. Thought O’ Bryan and Coley were very good with O’Bryan almost winning it but deflection hits the post. Keeps us six points behind Tranmere and with the confidence starting to come back. We are not out of this relegation battle one bit, so let’s keep behind the team. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

What an exciting game only beaten by the Notts County win, thoroughly enjoyed it and haven’t the team come on well, if they carry on like this no way are we going to be relegated 👍

If we keep picking up points we should be OK. Four 1-1 draws in a row and unbeaten in the league in November.

Hard fought and deserved draw for Sutton tonight, the team keeps chipping away. It was a reasonable game, certainly no classic, but not bad entertainment, fairly open. Crewe’s goal was the type of goal Sutton are conceding far too often. Louis John’s injury a concern, N’Guessan showed he’s no left back. Could be a problem on the left flank on Saturday.
Arnold’s kicking was shocking.

Good game and again we matched one of the in form teams in the League, and did it with only one fit centeral defender for the second half and with our midfielder playing left back.
Yes another miss out on three points, but definitely looking harder to beat.
Is it just me or did Arnold seem to be more of a pest in the box? punching away their crosses and supporting the defence more?
It seems injuries are a problem again and if John or Goodlife are out for a while we have an issue.
