Any initial thoughts on Deon Moore from those that watched? Heard lots of positive chat on Stephen Duke-McKenna. Duke was great, quick feet and very hard working. He was involved in a lot of play after only arriving a few days ago.. Defiantly a good addition and came right up to the fans after to sign stuff which shows he is a gentleman as well.. Deon also put on a decent display, considering a month ago he was playing 3 divisions lower, you would not have noticed. Got some decent balls into the box and controlled the ball well and worked well with the team. One of those games where you don't like leaving people out but Hart was immense, And good to see Eastmond being back to himself. Fans were good. Big respect to Walsall as well, friendly club and staff made us feel very much at home.

Quick mention too for Walsall's matchday programme, one of the best in League Two.

That was a very good point secured against a team that defended well and also had a decent attacking threat. Yes it might have been 3 but Walsall were not near the top of the form guide for nothing. The situation looks worse as Colchester won away but we are not a poor team anymore and the wins will come that will keep us up.

I drove home yesterday from Walsall with mixed feelings, pleased that as a collective the team are playing better and we secured a point, disappointed the end result means we are further away from safety than the start of the day. We now need to collect 8 points more than the teams above us before the end of the season. Draws are not going to achieve that . I parked on my drive knowing the goal of remaining in the EFL looks further away than ever. Wins we just need wins, which means scoring more goals than our opponent! not sure I can feel satisfied with a point anymore , well maybe home to Stockport, or when there are 3 teams below us.

I agree we are playing better, the squad looks stronger and we lookup for the fight. We just need more goal threat. Set pieces and corners were disappointing yesterday.
Whilst RM may not be in the managers plans he is a great deliverer of crosses and corners. We could coach players in his method of delivery on the training ground.Just a thought.

Must agree with other posters saying J H was man of the match. But a mention must go to new player S D-M ( 50 )thought he had a very good game.Very lively and good on the ball. A good signing by Steve. A well earned point. But as been said the team must convert draws into wins. Hopefully, Tuesday at home is a strong possibility. Was B G left out as a precaution for the knock he received last Tuesday. Steve said in his interview that there was no injuries apart from the long term ones. I think we still need another striker!!

That was a very good point. As already said, it seems our defence is getting stronger and stronger, but also there seems to be a real change in attitude, and one which is much more positive. There seems to be a number of players who have, over the last 3 games to have either returned to form or are playing at a much better level. Hart is one of them, and he had his best game in a Sutton shirt and quite rightly identified by us as our best player yesterday. But others have significantly improved, including players such as Angol, Kizzi, Bouzanis and even Goodliffe. More application, fewer mistakes and there's an obvious desire from the players to do this.
Whilst other results didn't go our way, you have to target a minimum of 1 point away from home. Which we got against one of the form teams in the division. We've still got the play all of the teams around us.
Oh and whoever came up with the nickname "Manchester Jesus" for Hart is a genius!

Well i'm breaking it down into 3 game matches of which we have 6 left. If we can take 5 points or sometimes just 4 points from each block of 3 then we will certainly stay up. Don't get hung up about the gap as that will close towards the end of the season providing we stay on track. No must win games at the present time. Its all about getting the required number of points by the season end.

A good idea noted SM first block of 3 collected 3 points so one short of you min target. Perhaps 7 from the next 3 though 9 gives some wriggle room.

3 defeats in 14 in the league. Same again and we’ll stay up as confident some of those draws will be converted to wins.

PPG for each of our 3 managers
Matt Gray - 0.67 Jason Goodliffe - 1 Steve Morison - 1
Our current total over the whole season - 0.75 points per game
You need 1.09 points per game to reach the magical 50 points. We need at this point to get an average of 1.61 points per game to reach it too.
That's far from impossible.

I recall that it was mentioned a short while back that 50 points probably isn’t necessary in a division with only two clubs being relegated. I believe 44 was mooted, which would mean a requirement of only 1.28 points per game. Very do-able.
