Reference the last post I notice Southend have set out their reasons for not participating , one was they are concerned about wear of their pitch. Mind you last week it was already showing signs of wear. Last season our pitch suffered after two women's fixtures were played close together in very wet conditions, could our pitch now suffer the same in early November or December with first team home cup matches, and or fa trophy replays plus CP ladies and U21 fixtures around the given dates, in addition to other scheduled matches. With a director on the NL board our participation was a political necessity for the organisation. It indeed would be nice for our board member to explain why participation is a good thing especially at the particular time of the season. Doubt it will happen though things like this are not for the ordinary fan to know about. Unless there is open dialogue the only way supporters can show concern/dissatisfaction is by not attending, which might be dispiriting to the younger players we could field. Should the director not wish to comment perhaps our C.E.O could even maybe a private letter to the shareholders , whom after all are co-owners. Think there was one women's match V Dorking where the pitch had been rained on but none of the others were and I think if you ask any grounds person they would prefer women to play over men any day of the week as they barely do any damage to the pitch.

Stand corrected I thought you meant two Sutton Women's games. Yes this may have been the case that two matches were played on the same day but the FA Cup game went straight to Pens so no ET and it was a bright Sunny day. Pitch also looked in great condition and the games were played in October. I think it was later on in the season that the pitch got messed up.

Openness is one of the core things to me about the Club. So please come and speak to us. Open dialogue works both ways. Posting anonymously on a corner of the internet not frequented by most Directors (or many supporters come to that) isn't the most efficient way to get the answers you seek. It was my decision to enter the competition.

Can I ask a question. Profuse apologies if it’s the wrong place. What is the latest position about the PA system.
You can’t hear any of the announcements today by TD.

Of course not everyone can stand on that terrace yet all parts of ground might be interested in hearing say an emergency announcement not withstanding the result of the 50/50 draw

Hi Chelle sorry to be slow returning to your post loading the video showing game in the sun. The incident I was referring to was the following round the 1st round proper played on the 12 Nov 23 . We played Maidenhead a team from a higher league a match we lost 4 goal to 3 aet. This followed crystal palace playing Lewes earlier the same Sunday.

Probably not the correct thread but when you're standing to the left of the main stand you really can't understand anything being said.

Tim has already explained a more efficient way of asking questions. And why do you think Tim carries a lot of weight?

Surely it has to be a collective decision from the board about what benefits the club.

Surely it has to be a collective decision from the board about what benefits the club. Who said it wasn't a collective decision or consultations were not made? Maybe Tim is the one legally in place in the club to make that decision. Simple answer. Ask him on Tuesday.
