As I've said several times why can't he explain things here so that we all know? The club website is useless.

According to posts on the Wealdstone forum the prize money for the NLC is as follows
£10,000 for taking part, £8,000 for each win and £4,000 for each draw in the group stage
£15,000 for a quarter final win
£30,000 for runners up
£60,000 for the winners.

To give this some perspective - we need to win 2 fixtures in the FA Trophy just to match the £10k taking part figure and winning 1 game in the FA Cup won't match that taking part figure either. For those who are totally against this competition, it is realisitically the most financially rewarding competition we will take part in this season.

Maybe we (as a club) need to play our strongest team in this competition and weaker teams in the FA Trophy and FA Cup then?

I presume the Premier league clubs will equally be eyeing the prize money

Odd nothing for semis or is this an oversight.

Where does that end? If they pay us each £500k pa to expand the NL to 4 divisions to get a bunch of academy sides in is that ok? What about paying us off to reduce the number of FA Cup proper rounds by reducing qualifiers? It’s a slippery slope. They’ve already come into the pizza cup and it barely has any support by fans, universally unpopular. Now they’re taking their piece of NL clubs. All the while hoovering up our best young prospects to play against us.

You had a prediction about the Pizza cup, which never came true, and suggesting that the Pizza cup is universally unpopular is quite disingenous, especially to all of us who finally got to see Sutton play at Wembley and the special day that was. We get your disdain for anything related to PL U21 sides, but in all honesty you can't suggest it has barely any support when it continues to do so.

You may say that but the evidence there of the creeping control and changes to suit the top clubs. No FA Cup replays too much football, more European fixture and worldwide tours just show it’s about money. There is no doubt their end game is B team/academy teams in the league structure. What was the prediction and what was wrong? B team boycott is going strong, many decent pro clubs get appalling gates.
