It will be interesting to see if any of the suggestions turn up in Amber over the next couple of months.

I appreciate that the dust is only just starting to settle on our relegation but is there any news on whether we are full or part time next season and whether or not we are going to keep “our” training facilities ? If the board are indeed committed to our immediate return to EFL status then I’m guessing we will be full time with facilities to match . However , this all costs a great deal of money and has been said elsewhere we are now carrying debts so may be “ only” part-time . These factors will have a major impact on who we can sign and who would want to play for us , money is king . I’m guessing a lot of head scratching is taking place behind the scenes and numerous calculators are being worn out crunching the numbers . Does anybody know when a statement from the club on these issues might be made please ?

No
As and when the club has something to say, then they will say it.

You know the club struggles sometimes to give clear comms on issues e.g. the 5 day transfer embargo saga. We may get dribs and drabs tucked into other statements or news stories.

To compete in the national League you really do have to be fall time now, so with the board’s ambition to get back in the league we really should stay full time and also to attract the type of player to get us there. I would guess though that the board will as Andy has said come out with news when ready and proper.⚽️⚽️⚽️

Many thanks for you answers gentlemen . I love the fact that we are now a bigger club with more drive than when I began supporting them but I do wish that the communication with us fans was a little bit better . I’ll get back into the cellar and remember that I am just a mushroom !

That is why it is important for supporters to have a member on the board, its nothing sinister, it just ensures a flow of information and understanding of a clubs position.

Why is it when certain, very pertinent, questions are asked on this forum as to what the board might need to do or, more specifically, communicate with us about, there is an inevitable chorus of 'all in the boards' good time'?
It's not as though their comms were particularly good in the season just gone. One thing we have learned from last season is that there's never as much time as one would like so, frankly, to hell with stately pace. And, as to raising questions with them; we are fans, not surfs.

And who runs the Instagram page put up a black crest and deleted nearly all of the posts.
Where they made redundant. #noideawhatsgoingon

I imagine that reverting to part-time (even the 'three-quarters time' introduced under Dos) would entail changing the players' contracts. I can't see that happening, so assume that the squad will stay full-time next season. If we don't get back into the EFL next year, that may have to be reviewed as contracts come to an end.
I understand that we've lost use of the training facilities at Harlington, though I don't know the circumstances.
I've also heard that somebody new has taken on management of the club's social media output, which may help to explain the Instagram business.

I'd say because more than likely there's nothing yet to announce. Whilst I don't disagree with you about the comms at times (especially, again, the 5 day transfer embargo), we know that the board is very cautious about the messages it gives. That's nothing new. What has changed is the fans demands of knowing instantly what is going on, in real time. One could argue that the boards approach hasn't moved more with the times, but yet the fans expectations are too high. For me, I don't think it's important that we publicy announce if we are full time or part time next season. If anything, doing so at this stage could do more damage, plus it may well be that decision hasn't been fully made yet. This may be controversial, but sod it, I'm going to say it anyway. If any fan thinks their "desire to know" all the little bits of everything trumps the best scenario for the club, then I'd say there not the fan they think they are.

The fans expectations are sometimes too high, and the board (in some respects) hasn't quite moved with the times. You're quite right that expecting 'as it happens' updates from the board is unrealistic. Yet I stand by the point that the more deferential among us expecting others to adopt the same tweedy snail mind set is equally unrealistic. We just got relegated, unless that hasn't quite registered with some? It's a time of considerable uncertaintly and people will be, and are quite correct to be, asking questions. It's a matter of concern for one's club. I would, personally, interpret that concern as a display of love for one's club.

I replied to this tweet last week - don’t think he quite liked my comment where I outlined Morison seems to like recruiting and working with younger players (see January transfer window just gone) so couldn’t see us signing Goddard, Pell or Marsh (all around 30 upwards).

And there's nothing wrong with asking questions. It's just the expectation that all ones questions would be answered and answered immediately that is unrealistic.
