Latest signing.. Nana Boateng - winger/striker signed on a 2-year deal following departure from Millwall. If Nana is anything like as good as Isaac Oloafe this will be a great signing!

I may be one of a very small group but I am excited and pleased with our signings so far . My feelings are that whilst we may not go straight back up we will certainly be very competitive .

I'm still convinced we will win something next season - either the title, the play offs or the FA Trophy (but not the SSC!)
There have been mutterings on here and other platforms that the signing have no pedigree at this level. Well last season, the majority of the signings were winners and look what happened.
I'm pretty excited for next season.

The signings look good to me, too. And this idea that some seem to have that the club can set up to go straight back up is a complete nonsense. Of course it's not impossible that we might. But we know very well that to win promotion out of the national is very difficult. It's not just signing the right players, or having the right manager. You also need a huge luck with injuries, players' form, and getting the breaks in very tight matches . Yes, you can give yourself better chances via the set up, but you're still going to need a whole host of things to go right for you over the entire season.

I’m already fed up with the lack of SUFC football and cannot wait for pre-season to begin , although I might feel differently if I was a player with a sunny beach to enjoy .

We always win a league title every 5 years and never win playoffs, so we'll have to wait another season for that 😛

I'm pretty excited for next season. Me too! Only 4 weeks until we get things going again at Tonbridge (not that I’m wishing time away). Pretty happy with the signings we’ve made thus far with another 5-7 to come in at a guess.

Tyler French signs!
I wonder if this means we will see a significant out going as this lad is a decent defender. I would like to think him and Goodliffe start the season. This lad has had an injury setback but will hope to crack on now.. done a good Job for Wrexham in the Nat League...

No doubt they’ll both have their suitors. If we do we’re now more than covered defensively (except possibly left back cover if Hart disappears). Things are shaping up in terms of filling positions, it’ll be interesting what strikers we’re able to pick up. Seems to be mostly what we are missing now.

I make it 6 centre-backs on the books now - French, Goodliffe, John, Sowumni, Williams and Taylor - good competition for places.
Still awaiting confirmation on Sam Hart but I’d say defensively we look pretty set for the new season already.

Yeah we have a good few centre backs now. I think John might be the next fine long term servant of the club to part before next season, be it on loan or sale, and I imagin Taylor will go out on loan again. Tylor can also play on the right, so presuming Jackson is sticking around Tylor can cover for him if needs be, now Kizzi is gone.

He covered for Hart going off in at least one match over the last season I think. Maybe that’s the plan for him to provide cover on both sides?

Ccomparing to last season? Keepers, looks like we could be better off than last year Defence, about the same as last year, with young players improving and quicker legs, could end up better. Midfield, depends on the new young blood and how they perform. Might still need another winger. Attack, decent prospect in Tume, Will need about 3 strikers to join before we can assess.
