Indeed, I saw some fans comments addressing him turning down the deal. This was a couple weeks ago so is obviously summing up his options, possibly league sides. I would have him back, every bit as good as Omar. Although I allways felt he never looked as fit as he could be. And perhaps he is not Steves style. 🤔

Young and rising talents or inexperienced and naive. Time will tell but it’s a massive risk Yes, it is a risk. As many have opined. But I would call it a necessary one. There's absolutely no point in keeping a losing squad. Why would last season's squad want to go again, together? It would create little but bad memories for them, and those can too easily set a template for the now. And that's not even considering a different style of play. Additionally, if I remember correctly, there was a concern last season that our sqaud had become a little too old. Certain formally solid players a little past their best. Milsom, certainly. Eastmond and Beautyman, too. As examples. Well, that's not an issue, now. Fresh start.

I like Steve's approach of building a team of players who are on the way up rather than on the way down in their careers. Hadn't really thought about it that way before but thinking about it now it creates a very different dynamic when you have a team of hungry people with ambition and something to prove.

So should I use twitter before the official website? Yes. There is a X link at the top of this page.

Just because it was time to move on from last years squad doesn’t mean nearly all of the incoming players have to be super young and or from lower leagues. I like the look of all of the new players but I’d love to see one or two of the next to come in have some national league experience in the mid to late 20’s range.

But I imagine getting experienced talent is more expensive than getting rising talent which may need more coaching. Also, perhaps experience at this level is not quite as vital as it is in the leagues above, or at least that's Steve's way of looking at it. We can also bring in players without having to plan around the transfer window, so if we need help it will be easier to get it.

I suspect that players from the mid to late twenties would have sadly passed on by now 🤔

You know what they say about assuming! 😂 As Vinnie Tume played in a behind closed door friendly (link to some pictures below to those not on Twitter) I’ll add him back to the player list. Also, removed Omar. x.com/suttonunited/status/1809619060168229002?s=46&t=NSY8MRz6py-3ESh_gpFIDQ4 Keepers - Rose, Arnold, Kerby & Sims 6 Defenders - Jackson, Taylor, Williams, Vaz, French & Ransom 8 Midfielders - Coley, De Silva, Odelusi, Harris, Boateng, Sivi, Simper & Wadham 3 Forwards - Tume, Davies & Rush.

Likely another striker and one or two more defenders to cover for right and left. Perhaps a couple of these may come in the form of loans. And with no transfer window to worry about, perhaps these will come later...

Was announced by SUFC's official Twitter account. How do you find out things if you don't like Twatter? Check on Twitter then as that's the go to place. Your choice, you know where things are posted. If you choose not to look then you only have yourself to blame.
