I agree with “forum legend” that we do need at least need a couple of quality/experienced ex elf players that can guide us back to the elf and I also agree with the majority of the comments saying these latest additions are good additions but for them to reach there peak this will take time, ask any manager as we have seen from our players in the past. With the additions of at least a couple of quality experienced players they will help these new players that have played at lower level league football to take there game to a higher level. If the clubs intent is to go straight back up by purchasing only lower league players, then it will take a good few seasons to achieve that goal. Will Ferrell?

I can not see anything that says we are serious about an efl bounce back in the signings. We are building a good squad , but a good one for the national league , which is one of the toughest leagues out there. That's because we have a National League budget. Ambition isn't about spending beyond your means. That's a quick fix that will come crashing back down soon afterwards.

My one line comment on signings does seem to have caused a stir in a couple of posters eyes, and in one something like life history.
Yes of course you can put together a team of potentials and win the league, but the odds are low, and even lower at getting it right straight off the bat. If any club is serious about promotion from the National league, they need to sign experience and proven quality at that level or above.
Yes it takes money to bring those players in, and for that you need to free up as much of your budget at possible to spend on the pitch rather than on salaried staff who don't kick a ball. Unless they return a sum greater than their cost, and here I think the club got it wrong in the EFL, and the reason why we were relegated. I may be wrong but I still think the club is top heavy in paid staff, and that will hit the budget.

We’ve just received £650k parachute payment from the Football league so it’s hardly a national league budget
