Hard to pick out players when you hammer a team 5-0.
But I have to say Harris played very well, Simper looks good as did Nana. Our defence also seems to have decent pace which helps with our high press. Nice to see Nadisan get off the mark with a well taken goal as well.

First 20m Altrincham looked the side we anticipated and looked more familiar with eachother than our new team did. But I had Started to notice that we had a lot in our legs are our pressure was starting to win us balls and put them under pressure, and this took its toll quite quicky with our first and third goals coming from forced errors. What was pleasing is that we saw the team start to gell more as the game went on. It was also good to see out a clean sheet despite being 5 up.

Not going to get carried away but it was what the doctor ordered, and I get the feeling we will see some steps forward and backwards with this lot. These players definitely have the potential to keep improving as the season unfolds.

Looking at the highlights our first goal is clearly deflected past the keeper, but one of the many things we didn't get last season was luck. Let's hope we get it in spades.

Not much to add to the other comments, but the new pitch is terrific and it was a pleasure to watch football as it should be played with the ball on the ground and accurate passing so much of the time, rather than hopeful punts forward and "head tennis" .

I was pleasantly surprised by several things. The fact we won 5-0, the bar wasn't too busy and we could lean on the barriers - albeit in an unusual part of the ground. Hopefully they won't stop us because otherwise I wouldn't be able to see the whole pitch.
