We all looking forward to to this one. Never an easy place to go to for team or supporters. I would like to think we can come away with all 3 points but i really don't know how strong Wealdstone will be or if Craig will be playing. I see a coach is running so hopefully we shall have a good turnout.

Craig Eastmond didn't play for Wealdstone on Saturday, so it's quite likely that he'll still be unfit tomorrow. Enzio did play 90 minutes for them.
The Stones have lost their opening two games, though both narrowly, to Dagenham & R and Oldham. After our performance and result on Saturday, we should go into this game with confidence.
Among tomorrow's other NL fixtures is Barnet v Forest Green, both tipped to do well this season. That may be a match to keep half an eye on.

Should go into the game with confidence. I am hopeful of three points but having lost their first two they are likely to be at it tomorrow so wont be an easy one.

Heard from a friend who knows a friend (Oldham player) that the pitch is a little dry - - - - hopefully that does not stop our free flowing footy.
Will be good to see Enzio & Craig.

My friend has logged in and paid to watch this online but there's no mention on the club site.

Well that was a relief at the end. Got a bit scrappy.

And that’s how it finishes. A gritty away win. Great 3 points. Wealdstone can definitely feel hard done by not to come away with something from that 2nd half. Plenty to work on as they got in behind way too easily, but early days and as we know away wins hard to come by in this league. Good start now.

A win’s a win but everything good about Saturday was missing tonight.

It’s mentioned in the match preview. OK I see it now but it's not that clear. I'm still not happy with the official club web site.

That is one hell of a win, because that is not the easiest place to go, so well done lads, dug in and got the result. Now this new team have shown Saturday and to night that they have a lot of bottle, so well done lads. “UP THE U’S” ⚽️⚽️⚽️

A hard place to go midweek against a side desperate for their first points. We showed grit and defended well.
Despite periods of pressure we limited them to very few clear chances with the main one coming near the end with the shot outside the box which Arnold looked to have made an error with, followed by him making a follow up save to make up for the error, definitely a heart in mouth moment.
I think we just about shaded a game with very few chances but we controlled most of the play particularly in the first half.
A clear penalty for us in the second half as well which was not given.

What’s this “not the easiest/hard place to go” stuff? What National League places are easy to go to?

As a game, this was closer to Tamworth away than Altrincham at home. Steve made five changes to the starting XI, perhaps understandable as we have two more matches in the next six days, but which may have contributed to the somewhat disjointed performance.
The highly regarded Finley Barbrook went straight into the side, but he didn't actually see much of the ball, and was substituted at the interval. It was another debutant loanee, Charlie Waller, who caught the eye, scoring the game's only goal with a spectacular (if maybe speculative) effort that looped into the net's far corner. His defensive work was also impressive, and it looks as if we have some intense competition for the left-back slot.
Wealdstone had started the brighter, but we soon wrested control of the first half. The home side though had pace in their ranks and did threaten on the counter, Steve Arnold making one magnificent one-handed save.
In the second half, despite us bringing on Odelusi, Wealdstone had the lion's share of possession, and, with better deliveries into our area, could well have got something from the match. We survived one or two hairy moments in stoppage time to claim the three points.
Winning scrappy encounters like this can edge a club towards spoils at the season's end. In the meantime though, there are a few things for Steve to ponder when selecting the team for next Saturday's game against York City.
