You don't know what I know and your arrogant to think you do.
From your and JK posts in the summer, you appeared to have an agenda that bordered on the personal which by admitting you got turned down for whatever was made apparent.
I have no such agenda. All I have done is describe my feelings and as a long term volunteer show some solidarity to those who feel they can no longer to do so.
I also hold no truck with someone who doesn't physically attend matches.

Mark, while it makes no sense to fight with me on this when we are on the same side and you know full well I know what I am talking about, that is neither here nor there.
My wobbly as you so nicely put it was all about socials going down hill, the club not looking after its volunteers. Etc, But you would not know that as you were not involved in those chats within the club.
I am still a custodian of the clubs video history and I have some stupid duty to still point out when the club is going in the wrong direction, so I disagree with the use of the term vitriol.
Anyways good day to you.

We most definitely are not on the same side. As I said you don't know what I know.
So do me a favour and back off.

All these people coming on here and saying I have followed this club for forty years plus, where were you when we were getting gates of three hundred or less and the club going no where. I know it’s nice for people to look back and say how it used too be, but the game has moved on and as it has shown in the past, no one once to watch the old Ryman league. People have started supporting this club or come back because the club has moved on and got into the football league, I did not hear any one moaning then about the club.
So I think having listened too some off these investors, they have the best interest in the club and want the best for this club and get us back up, yes it was always going to be hard to have a winning team straight away but it’s all because the club has moved on that now we get quite good away support. I remember going too yeovil and there was only twenty of us, now look at us, bigger crowds and more profile so for me the way the club has gone is for me he better.

Where was I? Early to mid 70s, ballboy duty. 1979, in Chieti. 1980s anywhere between Barrow and Campobasso.
90's, gate duty, safety officer. At Thame in a crowd of just 48. Supporters'Club sec and then chair.
2000's, started regular programme articles. Currently on 25th consecutive season. Also chief steward until 2008.
2010s missed Dorchester away in 2012 and missed just one friendly match since.
Since 2020, car park duty.
All of this time, giving ref's stick when warranted and often when not.
That's where I was.

Over the past 20yrs:
The introduction of community fun days, adding 2500 to a Ryman match day crowd.
Introduction of match day commentary
Introduction of video highlights / live matches and video interviews
First to get red card overturned using video evidence
First to sell online season tickets
Purchase and erecting of Scoreboard
YouTube channel (which is still in my name) gaining 1 million views and seen on every continent on the planet (before Arsenal).
The production of DVD's for some of the clubs most iconic matches and season's with thousands of hours of back catalogue footage.
Putting together show reels for players to help them on their way to league football, or helping Dos to offload them.
First to provide video for player analysis
And there is more....
(all with the help of great people such as JK, Tom Mitchell, Sol, Terry Summerfield, and many others).

I believe Boston are part time and that D&R are as well (if I heard their stream commentator correctly). Their wiki page has them as full time..

And as for the rest, great but where are you now eh? Why did you stop?

Seeing all these incredible lists of dedication to Sutton, I felt inspired to register on the forum to share my own heroic contributions to the club.
• Attended a home game... once… but I was 15 minutes late because I got lost on the one-way system. • Wore my Sutton scarf to a wedding. Admittedly, it was on Zoom, and my camera was off, but still—dedication! • Once used my Sutton United keyring to try to open a beer (but failed). • Had a bet on Wayne Shaw to eat a pie in the dugout during the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal • Frequently checked the club's Twitter feed. Some of those "likes" were from me! • Bought a Sutton United mug and used it twice before switching back to my favourite Chelsea FC mug. • Signed up for the club newsletter—then unsubscribed, but it's the thought that counts! • Almost bought a season ticket… but remembered I don’t like commitment. • Shouted “Come on Sutton!” at a passing pigeon.
I think it's safe to say, with contributions like these, Sutton wouldn’t be where they are today without me. So, who’s gonna better that??? :-)

I remember going too yeovil and there was only twenty of us, now look at us, bigger crowds and more profile so for me the way the club has gone is for me he better. I agree. We’re still in a great position as a club from a historic standpoint. But we seem like are at a critical point in terms of which direction we go. We’d probably have dreamt of a start like this in the NL for most of our history. The issue is we appear to be on a downward trajectory (at least for the short term) and we have a lot of fans who have only known relative success. Add on to that there has been a lot of change in the leadership of the club. The off field stuff doesn’t bother me other than Twitter going slightly cuckoo. But I am only someone who selfishly turns up at games, loves the club and comes to support. I’ve never been one to spend large quantities of time in the clubhouse etc. Clearly there are some bridges to be built by the new leadership. I don’t know why or how people are getting noses out of joint but long term Sutton folk shouldn’t be getting angry at things - they need to be pulled along. So whatever it is off the field needs putting right and needs some leadership to be shown. Bruce is still Chairman and has always been the heart and soul of the club - listening to Matt Gray’s recentish interview tells you all you need to know. So old and new board heads need to get together and make sure we are all as one again because from the comments here it doesn’t appear to be the case. But it wasn’t that long ago where we went to MK Dons and supported epically whilst being relegated so I’m not sure things are as bad as feared by some. There are a couple we have clearly lost along the way as a reaction to deemed personal sleights, that happens and we can ignore those throwing toys out of the pram for rejection (especially the one oddly talking in the 3rd person!), BUT we need 99% of the old fanbase to add to our new fans and move forward. This should be a new and exciting time for the club, we needed investment or we died in this day and age in my opinion, so onus is on the investors to do a good job - probably a lot of this is that they aren’t visible and known and therefore people start doubting motivations etc, but I am always reassured that our board put them there. Maybe that’s naive on my part, time will tell.

Wow. Lots of back and forth arguments but not specifically about the Dagenham game. We just need a good physical centre forward and a good physical centre back to compete. .

Oh wow! Daggers 7 Gateshead 1. May put our defeat into context. Gateshead were unbeaten and (I think) top.
