Rather a scrappy affair this afternoon, rescued by some well executed goals. The game was punctuated by numerous free kicks and I thought the visitors physical style somewhat knocked us out of our stride. We were looking comfortable at 2-0 before Ebbsfleet rallied and, when they grabbed the equaliser I feared the worst. Credit to the team for drawing second wind and going on to earn the three points. It's pretty clear now that the team has goals in it but, at the same time, looks vulnerable to concede. As Steve initimated, we were not at our best today, but I guess results and performances tend to even themselves out over the course of a season. Well I don't think they were overly physical. We got a few decisions from the referee that normaly we hadn't been getting so I think overall he had a good game. I still think we need a leader on the pitch, something we've not really had since Craig Eastmond left.

I saw the two guys from Ch4 Sunday Brunch, Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer and possibly Joe Wicks. Mr Brunson did a walk round the ground with a body guard and a cameraman. Personally I don't have a problem with him he's not bigger than the team and I just believe he genuinely wants to help push the 'brand' he clearly is infatuated with SUFC so good on him. A bodyguard? Don't make me laugh. At Sutton? And I never saw him walking round the pitch. I was there 40 minutes before kick off.

I quite agree. I have said in a previous post and thread that we want someone like Eastie with a bit of command.

Hi SUFCTV team, not sure if you’re aware that the match report for this hasn’t been attached to the Last Match info at the beginning of the home page. It is in the news section though 👍🏻

I have just been on the Ebbsfleet forum. What a miserable lot. It seem we treated them disgracefully today. Here is one of the comments Their ground and stewarding is an absolute shambles. A covered concrete terrace that is so unsafe for aways fans they cannot use it, but the camera team can stand on the roof. And home drummer permitted, away drummer banned. They tried to take my thermos flask off me. I said if you do, I want a formal, official and numbered receipt, signed by the security/safety manager. They waved me through!. And £4 to sit down? No wonder so many seats appeared unoccupied. And I counted no less than 9 hi-viz security staff watching all 215 of us. Overkill.

Perhaps a case of poor communication over unavailability of the parkside terrace, lead to dissatisfaction It was a poor look that so many seats were unoccupied, not that the small boy sitting next to me was complaining with an uninterrupted view of the match.

I wouldn't be too concerned about what Ebbsfleet fans think, after all, we hardly get treated as royalty at their place. Open terrace behind the goal normally.
As for our covered terrace being closed it was because of live wiring being exposed while the new gantry is set up. Still, if the upset guy wanted a dose of electrocution on top of the defeat that's up to him.
As for that gantry, the bloke who posted on the EU forum must be thick if he thinks it's sitting on the rec terrace roof. It's an independent structure. The roof couldn't take the weight.
An earlier post from EU suggested we were more physical than them cos we had four booked to their two. One of ours was for kicking the ball away, another for time wasting. That makes it 2 2 for fouls. Evens on that basis wouldn't you say?
As for the £4 prog, yep annoying for away fans, but come on a quid extra? By the way, Ebbsfleet used to produce a quality programme, hope they still do.
One other observation was the attendance figure announced. Over 3,000, really? Didn't look any different to the other home matches this season even with a decent turn out from the visitors.

Yes As I suggested seems the situation was not fully explained to the away fans. I am not convinced on the merits of away fans sitting amongst home fans. Mostly it will be ok because of who we are but it will only take one incident. Especially as the main grandstand is only casually stewarded. Rather goes against the notice on the turnstiles. A notice I have taken to mean away fans must be careful.
