There were rumours around the end of the season that Maidstone would leave Sittingbourne. I think Ashford Town (Kent) was mentioned as an alternative....

Just to confirm that Fisher Athletic have now passed the point of possible reprieve from the courts. It was mentioned in the NLP that they had not given up hope of a reversal of the winding up order. That needed to be done by 20/05/09 and they failed, I understand they will hold a meeting on 28/05 to discuss the possibility of forming a new club based in the docklands.

Looks like Westy is the first to go. Thought he did pretty well and was certainly a handful. Dos clearly looking to play a different way next year but we'll prob need to play more than one way to be successful if the pitch stays as it has been this year!

A couple of interesting items in today's NLP:
1. Steve King has taken over as Farnborough manager - and has already shown the door to ten of their players. Clearly the squad that finished runners up in the Southern League isn't good enough for our Steve.
2. Nicky Sullivan has stepped down as Chairman of Tonbridge Angels. It seems that he'd been pumping a lot of money into the club, but that will now stop and the wage bill will have to be cut. It's likely that a number of Angels' higher earners will leave.

So that's Tonbridge and AFC Hornchurch low on funds. If the scummers can find the national debt of a banana republic to keep Jolly then it could be a LBS title race... : P

There's a tread on the Isthmian forum about AFC Hornchurch from one of the former directors.
She reckons no application for Administration has been made. So feck knows what's happening there......

There's a tread on the Isthmian forum about AFC Hornchurch from one of the former directors. She reckons no application for Administration has been made. So feck knows what's happening there...... I like this: "As the largest creditor and still a Director, I made a few enquiries this week and guess what? No Admin order has been made at all."Fancy not telling your largest creditor that you are entering Admin! Whatever next? Meanwhile UU appears to have joined the illusive group of Reggie Perrin and Lord Lucan, not a single Post of their forum since he said AFCH had no problems? Over the hill and far far away Miss urchinette Edit: UU is back on the Isthmian forum backing claims that AFCH are not in admin, the AFCH forum appears dead no mention of this on there by anyone and the official website has not been updated for @3weeks so gowd knows what is actually going on there?

“I’m a Chelsea supporter so if I had my way they would probably play in blue" says Mr Bird.
That really sums it all up! Sod the fact that your team you are managing play in totally different colours, more like "lets face it all the supporters like Chelsea anyway, i'll just get on the phone to Samgsung to see if they can throw a bit of cash your way too.
Luckily Dos is a bit more savvy and there is no red and white in our kit at all...
