I thought it would be helpful to start a Summer activity thread nice and early. Does not have to be just for our club but can be for anything that happens around us including clubs going bust, reprieves and transfers etc. The object being is that if you are away from the message board for a holiday or just doing something else you should be able to come back to this thread and play catch up. This is not intended to replace discussion threads for the summer, its merely a catchup point and will allow us to see all player movements etc in one place  We will start with the News that Margate look set to be given a relegation reprieve. |

OK, I'll start it off.
The rumour mill is a bit slow off the mark this close season. The RPO Final not even played & Billericay have released 6 players including their 'keeper.
With former Swifts manager, Statham, now in charge at New Lodge, guess who one poster on the Isthmian Forum reckons will be 'Ricay's custodian for 09/10?

FISHER ATHLETICI am not an expert in this sort of thing but according to Companies House Fisher Athletic are no more: wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/fc24ed39ce9f14d2de8c0701631016bf/compdetailsThis separate from their reprieve to pay their debts until 13th May and I believe its for failure to lodge accounts. I think its possible to resurrect a company in this position but as of Today they do not exist!

Karim El-Salahi has signed a new contract with the club. According to Paul Doswell, "Kes has obviously had a very good season but he is still young and will continue to get better. His contract expired this month so I am pleased to have completed this so quickly."

Fisher Athletic officially wound up in the high court today, they will now seek to start a new club called Fisher Dockside FC located back across the river.
Looks to have secured Margate's RP reprieve.

It still amazes me, even after last season, that we are so bloody organised!!
I'm too used to turining up at the first friendly and hassling the board as to who the bloody hell is he then!!!
A Monday to look forward to next week!!!

Just found this on the Ryman forum......the latest club to go into Admin. "I have been asked by the club to put the following news on the forum and as soon as we can on to the website.
Afc Hornchurch have applied for administration,today the courts sat and have agreed to our application to go into administration.
This will mean we will start the season on -10 points. There is now a process of which any interested parties who want to buy the club out of administration can apply to the administrator to do so,should the terms be favourable.
At present i have been informed that 2 groups could be interested in buying the club out.I do not know who these are but have been told that we should have some more news on this by wednesday.
Obviously next season could be a struggle but its not an impossible situation and depending on who comes into the club,there is no reason why we cannot compete for at least a play off place but we will need to get behind the club like we did in the ESL and ever since."www.fansfocus.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/1563426.html#Post1563426 |
