I don't think Bird should be talking about the fans like that, no matter how annoying they are.
As soon as his team does one thing wrong, they'll be right on his back.

The U's have completed their first two signings of the summer. At 23, left-sided forward James Hawes is a year older than brother Billy and they are looking forward to joining up together in Paul Doswell's re-shaped side. James ended the season with Blue Square South outfit Braintree Town and has also played for Billericay. Billy is an attack-minded right-back and joins from Boreham Wood. "I've had both lads watched many times since Christmas," said Paul, "they have pace and good attitudes."

Jesus, Bird is such an idiot. One minute he implies that their fans get out so little that all they have to do is moan about their kit, and then he reveals that the players were doing exactly the same in the dressing room but from the opposite point of view. Right then, listen to the players and ignore the fans. Because the players are all going to be loyally there week in week out for the next 40 years too, aren't they? Such a fool...  |
